Who is your least favorite person on earth that you're not related to?
Missing our little turkey.
Estimated Due Date 11/13/12 | Natural Miscarriage 4/17/12
Do you like beans? Ah, yes, the beans! I don't like most beans, but black beans are very cool.
What was your immediate reaction to finding out you were going to be a grandma? I actually laughed out loud, because I didn't think my daughter was serious. I sobered up pretty quickly when she showed me the pregnancy test!
What do you hope Everleigh calls you? My step-kid's kids all call me Emmy, because my step-daughter, being only 8 years younger than me, wasn't ok with her daughter calling me "Grandma", and Ava (her daughter) couldn't say "Erin"...it came out as "Em". So Emmy stuck. We're hoping Everleigh will pick that up, too.
What's the temp where you're at right now? 69, duuuude!
What was your favorite vacation ever? The year that I was living in Dallas and didn't think I was going to get to go back home for Christmas, but my room mates all chipped in to give me a gas card and one let me borrow her car. It was so much fun to surprise my family on Christmas morning!
Who is your favorite person on earth that you're not related to (and you hubby counts as someone you are related to!)? My favorite person in my entire life was my Grandma. She was awesome...picture me, except old(er... haha). But sadly, she's not on Earth any more. She passed away in 2005. So if we're going with "on Earth", I'd have to say my (step)mom. I don't consider her a "step" the same way I don't consider my biological mother a "mom". My mom has never, even once, made me feel like I was anything less than her very own child, and I know I was not always the easiest kid to raise, but she never, ever gave up on me.
Who is your least favorite person on earth that you're not related to? There's a person I have to work with a lot at church who seems like she just puts her foot in it a whole lot, and also seems to think we're great friends. I'm nice to her because she needs someone to be nice to her, but if I weren't trying so hard to do what I'm "supposed" to do, honestly, I'd have told her where to stuff it over a year ago.
What is your favorite restaurant?
What is your favorite kind of music?
Do you enjoy reading? If so, who are some of your favorite authors?
What is your favorite movie?
If you could repeat any moment in your life to do again (either the same or change it) what would it be and why?
What made you decide to start your at home business?
What is your favorite restaurant? There's a barbeque restaurant (I know...Kansas City...Barbeque...no one's really shocked, right?) about 15 minutes from our house that I just loooooove. It's called Bandana's. Besides the food being incredible, they have the same wait staff almost all the time, and they all seem so happy with their jobs and they're always really friendly without being fakey.
What is your favorite kind of music? Hi, my name is Erin, and I'm a musicaholic. Seriously, I know everyone says "I listen to just about everything", but I really do. I do seem to gravitate more towards gritty pop stuff, like Green River Ordinance, Adele, and Gavin DeGraw. But Melissa Etheridge will always be my hands-down favorite!
Do you enjoy reading? If so, who are some of your favorite authors? I love to read. I don't get a lot of time to do so, but when I am able to read, I like Jodi Piccoult, Jonathan Kellerman, and Rita Mae Brown best.
What is your favorite movie? Mr. Holland's Opus, but I don't always admit that in public!
Oh, that's weird...the last two questions didn't show up! So here they are:
If you could repeat any moment in your life to do again (either the same or change it) what would it be and why? I'd have slowed down and thought about things before I put myself into a position to get pregnant with my first daughter. I'm glad to have her, but we struggled through a lot of things that probably wouldn't have happened if I had waited until I was older to have her, or chosen a different person to be her father.
What made you decide to start your at home business? When I made the decision, I had 4 teenagers at home, 3 of whom have special needs of some sort or another. (Since then, our foster daughter moved into her own place and my middle daughter has gone to college and lives with other family members, who live closer to the school she chose, but I see her on weekends.) Two of those teenagers were going through some very serious "rough patches" and pretty much required round-the-clock supervision and support. I had been doing the candle thing on the side while working as a pharmacy tech, and things had gotten to the point where I could afford to quit financially. So, rather than put my kids in the care of a day treatment center, I chose to stop working outside the home and be with them full time.
If you could do anything, regardless of money, what would your dream job be?
And, if you could live anywhere, where would it be?

TTC Since January 2011 - We have bad spermIf you could do anything, regardless of money, what would your dream job be? If money were no object, I would have been a professional musician. I love performing and songwriting and everything else about it!
And, if you could live anywhere, where would it be? I used to think New York City, but after I moved to Dallas, I knew I was a Texan at heart, even though I wasn't born there. I wouldn't necessarily have to live in Dallas, but if I ever get the chance to move back to Texas, I'd do it in a heartbeat!whats your favorite flavored jello?
whats the one lunch meat you could always eat?
if stranded on a island and could only bring 3 things what would they be?
do you like scary movies? if so whats your number 1 favorite?
whats your favorite flavored jello? I pretty much dislike Jello on the whole, but if I had to eat it, I like orange or lemon
whats the one lunch meat you could always eat? I love ham and cheese loaf...can't eat very much of it, but I would eat it every day if I had to!
if stranded on a island and could only bring 3 things what would they be? sunscreen, a boat, and paddles
do you like scary movies? if so whats your number 1 favorite? I like REAL scary movies. Not the blood and gore crap, but more psychological scary. On that note, my favorite scary movie is Silence of the Lambs.
