before we switched we had farmers and we were happy with the service. we just got a better rate from usaa so switching was worth it.

  • farmers for HO, and state farm for auto (i've had my auto for a long time, but they don't offer new policies for HO in my area, so I had to go elsewhere for HO).
  • We have Century21 for auto and are really pleased, we just recently switched and we're getting the same coverage we were, and we're now paying less than half of what we were.  And they're now owned by Farmers, who has excellent CS.
  • We have Nationwide, I've been with them for years now. The customer service is great and when I had an accident I had to make 2 phone calls, drop my car off and pick it up and it was done. So seamless and easy. They've always been great. I have a rep in Tomball if you'd like the info.
  • We have state farm for car insurance, and are currently shopping around for homeowners. We are not going with state farm for HO because they quoted us about $1000/yr more then their competition. We will most likely go with Allstate.

We dropped SF last year for the same reason.

We currently have Imperial for our home and rentals, Progressive for auto & motorcycle.

Same here.  We signed up with SF because it was easy.  We already has auto through them.  6 months in, we switched to Liberty Mutual.  It was half the price and better coverage.

  • We have Statefarm for both auto and home.  But we're in the process of switching both over to Amica.  They got really good ratings and reviews and we're be saving over $1200 a year and have a lot more coverage and the deductible is lower.  Also, at the end of the year we get a dividends check cut to us for $294!  Not exactly sure how that works but it sounds good to me!

Amica is a mutual insurance company, so like a credit union- their customers own a small part of the company. So at the end of the year they receive a dividend.  I just found this out. LOL.
