We currently have Verizon. We are thinking of changing. We have looked into everyone except Sprint. Sprint's HQ is in KC and the reception by their HQ is absolutely horrible so we will not go with them. Right now T-mobile has unlimited data, talk, and text for $45, so for both of us it would be $90 a month, which is really close to what we are paying for Verizon with just 700 minutes, no texting, and no data. Problem is we don't know anything about T-mobile. I know ATT is trying to buy them, but is their reception ok? Anyone have T-mobile that could offer some insight? Thanks!
Re: Cell Phone Providers
I feel like this is a question better asked to local people - coverage varries a lot from place to place.
Do you have Fios in your area? FWIW, we have everything through Verizon - land line, 2 cells, cable and internet and only pay about $140/month because everything's bundled.

I agree with Kate, you'll have to ask locally. Everyone has Verizon here, because ATT just doesn't have the same reception coverage on the coast. I can be on the beach with full bars, and my mom (with ATT) will have nothing, not even roaming.
We'll never switch because of that. David has to be reachable via cell as often as humanly possible.
But because we've been customers for so long, I get great deals and discounts and EXCELLENT customer service. If I ever have something wrong or dispute something on my bill, it's NBD and I get to call almost all the shots. Another reason why we'll probably never switch.
Yeah, so not true, we're lucky if we get one bar or any service at all. I've had nothing but fights with their customer service, and I barely use my phone anymore when at home. If I do, I usually have to have my calls forwarded to our landline to ensure they won't get dropped due to reception going out. When we move our contract will be up and we are seriously contemplating switching carriers. I say it definitely depends on the area you live in what coverage is like, and so we will make our next decision based on that and who will give us the best deal for good coverage.
This exactly. I have Verizon-I have a Droid phone.
this is our area exactly.
We have verizon here because it has great coverage.
