Do chives/green onions really ruin the soil?
I have no deck, yard, or patio so my little bitty herb garden is my pride and joy.
Someone told me chives and green onions ruin the soil for other plants. Is this true? Should I replant my chives? My planter currently consists of sage, basil, dill, and chives. First time I've kept anything alive so I don't want to mess it up!

Re: Do chives/green onions really ruin the soil?
I don't think thats true, BUT, I would put them in their own bigger pot anyway so they can grow bigger year to year. I've had mine for 10 years and it does great! I put it in the end of my garden bead and its gotten along well with everything else.
