US to UK sizing - dress blouses
Does anyone have a sizing chart that will show US to UK sizing (along with measurements) for a dress shirt for women? I have to order a dress shirt for work, and I have NO IDEA what brand it is, or what size I am. Any good website recs?

Re: US to UK sizing - dress blouses
I'm a 12/14 US and everything I ever bought in the UK was a size 16.
Really sucky system if you ask me!
It's GENERALLY two sizes bigger in the UK than you would be in the US.
So in the US, I'm usually an 8 top/10 bottom....in the UK I'm 12 top/14 bottom.
But just like in the states, there is some variability between brands.
Pre-pregnancy I wore a size 6 US but had to get a 10 UK.
Most run two sizes bigger. Very depressing to look at the number on your collar/back of your trousers. LOL
I am US size 8 top & 10 bottom. Here, I wear mostly 12 tops and 14 bottoms.
But you obviously have stores that run small (H&M - Bottoms I get there are size 16) and others run big (Hayes&Curtis for work shirts, I get 10-12)
But your method to get them tailored to fit you well is the best way to go. GL!

I approve of this plan :-)
I've found it's 1-2 sizes different (larger in the UK).
