My only B&M is that I did not sleep well AT ALL. So now, I am super tired and don't want to go to work at all. This is not going to be a fun day :-(

Re: B&M Monday
My B&M is for some reason I havve big time pain in my ankles and feet. They are also swollen and it's gong up my leg. Nothing is working and I have no idea why!
Also...Romo....Dallas hates you now!
Ummm, well a lot of Dallas already hated him so.....
Tonight's Open House. The only B&M about that is that I'll get home after nine and will probably want to crash, which means no opportunity to just unwind. Thankfully, I only have one new group of parents and all the rest have been with me for a while. Which means I don't have to put on a show.
I got in late last night from a weekend in Vegas (my first time there). I woke up early because I'm feeling crappy/dehydrated, despite drinking primarily water and Gatorade while I was there. Air travel always makes me feel like this. Today will be a challenge to get through!
But I had a really good time in Vegas. We're already planning to go back (which isn't a surprise, since H loves it and goes at least once a year, but usually as a guy's trip.) I learned to play blackjack and even did better than H most of the time we played, so I think I passed his Vegas test.
Good Luck getting through the day girls! I'll need help myself.
So I've been trying to lose wieght for about a month now.. Not only have I not lost any weight I've steadily been gaining about a pound a week. This week I worked really hard at it and still the scale killed me this morning. I'm very annoyed

My alarm clock didn't go off this morning, so I was way rushed getting ready.
As if I didn't look bad enough, Kidd Kraddick reduced me to tears this morning. Again. Those stupid sad songs!!
I turned it off when I heard it start because I was almost to work and I KNEW what he was doing.

I didn't sleep well either! I woke up a bunch of times, and kept thinking it was time to get up. When it finally was time to get up, I was exhausted and just wanted to lay there. At that point, Crispin started playing "Let's pounce on Mom's hands that are hiding under the covers & pillows, and DIG!!!" And then DH started playing "Let's reach under the covers and tickle Angie's feet, so Crispin will attack them too!" So I got up.
I got a haircut Saturday, and while it looks really cute, it's a weird length. I cut off about 3 inches, so it's shorter than it's been in years, and it keeps sticking inside my shirt collar and is annoying the heck outta me this morning. But I like how it looks!
Deepthi, I started logging all my food on myfitnesspal.com, and it's really helped me know what I'm eating, make better choices, and just eat better over all. I've lost nearly 10 pounds using it over the summer! A few of my friends are on there too, and my mom and sister, and we all encourage each other. If you joined I'd be your friend and encourage you too
What all have you been doing to lose weight?
Yesterday, I went to a baby shower at a pottery painting place in Joshua. I'll admit, I was NOT looking forward to it, even though I was a "hostess" (pretty much in name and $$ only). Happy for my friend, but not really one who enjoys baby showers.
I had SO much flippin' fun. I told Mack I felt all sorts of dorky because of how much I got into painting that platter, but seriously, it was a blast. I'll be doing that again!
It's 9 and I already have a headache.
I told DH a bit about the baby talk at the book club and he got a huge kick out of vajayjay juice and throws it into conversation any chance he gets or to break the silence. At supper Saturday he put 2 and 2 together and realized our 2 year anni is around the corner, "which means baby making time." Gosh I am so not ready for all of that.
I understand someone's money is their own business and they can choose to spend it how they see fit. However I really dislike having to hear people's woes ALL THE TIME about how they barely make it each month, only to hear that they just spent a pretty penny on something, which will only lead them to complain even more about how they don't have any money.
Amen to that.
I'm on MFP.. Not really part of the community, but just log. I have a friend from work on there and we keep eachother motivated.
Tiffany, I did the same things I did before the wedding. Watched my calories and working out. I lost 10 pounds before the wedding, but now it's the opposite.
What was Kidd doing this morning? I board the train at 6 so I never get to hear the show anymore.

Deepthi - It was all about September 11th. They talked about the show that day, which was interesting. Then he did one of those songs with the voice-over added with a girl talking about missing her her Dad that died that day. (Similar to the Kidd's Kids songs)
I know I should just turn it off, but I get hooked.
Oh gosh, I would have had to turn that off. As great as I think it is, I cannot handle the Kidd's Kids stuff.
Oh that would have had me going today. A lot of comics talked about 9/11 too. I'm just really glad nothing happened yesterday.

Hobby Lobby had the Christmas decor out in JULY!
Bio
What's wrong with that? I put Christmas lights up on my house already!
LOL, just kidding. You guys know I am a staunch supporter of no Christmas paraphernalia out before the day after Thanksgiving.
Christmas eats Thanksgiving (and even Halloween these days!!) = Bad News for Tiffany
I don't want Christmas to eat Thanksgiving and Halloween. I love those holidays. Particularly Thanksgiving... nom nom nom.
BUT
I do love me some Christmas music. And movies. And weather. I don't like that the stores carry it all so terribly early, but I am guilty of starting Christmas in the McG house the first week of November instead of waiting until after Thanksgiving...
As long as your Thanksgiving and Christmas can take place in perfect and distinctly different harmony. I forgive you. :-)
I am excited about Christmas this year. First year to decorate our own house...aaaand I have a Christmas ornament from every vacation we have taken together...and a getting married one last year... now I get to get a new home one.
My B&M is that I'm so very tired. The baby just HAS to eat every 4 hours still. It's exhausting.
What doesn't suck is the wedding I went to on Saturday. It was SO cute! The bm's in their mismatched dresses were adorable. I even thought the red converse they wore ended up being cute. It was really laid-back and fun.
On the bright side MIL wantedto visit wineries and paid for the tastings, so woo hoo free wine!
Deepthi - have you run your BMR and set up a calorie plan based on that? MyFitnessPal is awesome but it is also a "dumb" algorithm and can cause you to gain if it sets you up unrealistically. I can run your BMR numbers if you want me to. Let me know.
Not to try and sway you, but Christmas with a kid makes Christmas way more fun! I haven't been in the "Christmas spirit" in YEAAAAAAARS... but it's been so fun with Cadence and the whole Santa excitment and all of the fun things that happen around Christmas.
Last year she proclaimed "Mommy, Jesus is coming and he's bringing presents!"
Bio
I am on the didn't sleep well train also. I went to bed later than normal, woke up earlier than normal, and tossed and turned/woke up all night. I'm ok right now, but I know it'll catch up to me later.
Chelsea - Several years ago, I went to a pottery place and make Christmas gifts for everyone. It ended up being fairly inexpensive, and it was a big hit. I did a couple Christmas platters, including a "cookies for Santa" one for my SIL who was pregnant at the time. She cried, but she cries a lot when she's pregnant.
Deepthi - Not to whore out the Bodybugg any more than I already do, but when I got it, I realized that my BMR is freakishly low. A lot lower than any of the calculators ever put it. Before I got the Bodybugg, I was trying so hard and getting nowhere. I will say, though, that my BMR is getting better now that I'm adding in weights to my routine. I'm not saying you should get a Bodybugg, but Leslie's right, that could very well be the source of the problem.
That's another thing. This isn't a B&M but DH and I were talking whether to do Christmas or Hanukkah this year. We've never done a full blown Christmas (ok maybe this last year we did) ourselves; when we've done Christmas at his folks house, they do stuff. DH is extremely flexible and whatever we do is up to me so I said if we are going to do all of this then do Hanukkah, which we have never done. Then I realized we wouldn't necessarily have a tree so where would I put our ornaments that I've collected? We do have an ornament exchange, am I prohibited from doing that? My plan was to make DH one every year, do I have to stop that? He popped that balloon real fast for me. DH said we could make an ornament board or something since it made me so sad.
Now reading your posts about Christmas, it reminded me that I always wanted a gigantic breakfast on Christmas morning with our family. Now what?
It'll all be okay, it's just weird and will take some getting used to.
Why can't you do a little of both? Have a 4' tabletop tree or something to display your favorite ornaments?
Ok you have me curious! I'll PM you!
<a href="http://www.thenest.com/?utm_source=ticker&utm_medium=HTML&utm_campaign=tickers" title="Home D
Agree! I think you can do both! Especially when you have children, I think it'd be awesome to celebrate the two holidays side-by-side.
