  • 1. Have you moved into the new house yet? If so, how's it going? Yes, finally!  We moved in a little over two weeks ago.  It is going pretty well.  We have a lot of work to do, but we love the layout and the neighborhood.2. Are you currently reading a book? If so, what book? No. =(  Between moving and planning school with DD, I haven' t had any time to read lately.  I will be starting Game of Thrones soon, though!3. Favorite holiday? Christmas!  I know it seems weird for an atheist to be obsessed with a Christian holiday, but I love the music and the decorations and the whole spirit of love and giving.  4. Are you planning on having anymore children? Nope, H is probably getting snipped soon.
  • Any music you're currently excited about? I've been really enjoying The Head and the Heart and Marina and the Diamonds.Where do you see yourself in five years? Ten?  Pretty much where I'm at now. Lol.  We are planning to home school both kids, so I am not planning on getting back into the workforce for probably 15 more years.  In five years, I hope that H will be in school and at least somewhat near to finishing his degree and in ten he will hopefully be doing what he loves.  I am already doing what I love, though, so I'll pretty much be doing the same stuff.

  • 1. Have you always been an atheist if not, what led you to it? Hope that's PC but this is REALLY interesting to me! I have pretty much been an atheist since I was a teenager, though I probably would have labeled myself as agnostic until the last couple of years. We went to church sporadically when I was a kid, but religion was never a big part of our lives.  The more I learned about the Bible, the more I knew that I definitely wasn't a Christian.  I have never really felt like there was a higher power at work in my life or anything like that.2. If you were not living in Oklahoma, what other state could you see yourself in ? H and I have talked about living in Austin someday when the kids are grown up.  I think I would like the atmosphere in somewhere like Boulder or the Pacific Northwest, but I hate being cold!3. What's your idea of a perfect day? Taking my family to a fun festival or something like that - spending the day together looking at cool stuff and eating yummy food.4. Do you speak any language fluently, if not, are you interested in a particular one? I used to speak fluent French, but I have lost most of it now.5. What's your favorite food? I have pretty much never met a potato I didn't like.6. ETA: What made you decide to home school?  We didn't feel that DD was being challenged enough in school, which worried us because she was getting to a point where she didn't know how to handle it when she *did* meet a challenge, so she would freak out.  We wanted to foster a love of learning, and we didn't feel that the school environment was doing that for her.
  • 1. What's your greatest virtue? I like to think I am pretty kind and tolerant.2. What's your biggest vice? I am lazier than I would like to be sometimes.3. What's something that many other people seem to hate but you enjoy? Warm weather.4. What's something that many other people seem to enjoy but you hate? I am not a fan of camping.  5. What's one thing you're snobby about? Children's books6. What's one thing you're the opposite of snobby about (i.e., something you prefer/enjoy that might be considered "low brow"?) Clothes.  I prefer to buy used clothes and don't really care much about brand names (except for DS's shoes).
  • What's your favorite restaurant? I pretty much never turn down Ted's.  I am really growing to love S&B's Burger Joint as well, though. What's your favorite meal to cook? Lentil barley veggie burgersWhat's your favorite dessert? BeignetsWhat food will you not eat? Seafood
  • What type of job would you like to have when you get back into the workforce?

What's your favorite time of year?

How/where did you meet your H?

  • What type of job would you like to have when you get back into the workforce? I would really love to work for a non-profit group in some capacity.  If that doesn't pan out, I'll probably just get a job at a bookstore for the discount. =P
What's your favorite time of year? I really like the summertime, but I also love the time from Thanksgiving to New Years.
How/where did you meet your H? We were sort of set up by my cousin at her birthday party.  I knew that she wanted us to meet, but H didn't know that she thought we would hit it off until after we had gone on a couple of dates.  We actually went to the same high school, but not at the same time - he was a freshman the year after I graduated. What's your least favorite household chore? Cleaning out the litter box.
