I need some inspiration ladies...I've had none lately. Best thing i made for dinner was shepherd's pie, and that was no fancy meal (although tasty!)

I made this last night, It was good and it's low fat. 290 cal per serving. But a little bland maybe I'll add a spice to the turkey next time I make it.
Slow Cooker Turkey Breast with Wild Rice Stuffing
4 cups cooked wild rice
3/4 C finely chopped onion
1/2 C dried cranberries
1/3 cup slivered almonds
2 medium peeled or unpeeled cooking apples coarsely chopped (2cups)
4-5lbs boneless whole turkey breast (we used 1 lb slice turkey breasts) thawed if frozen
1. In large bowl, mix all ingredients except turkey
2. In 3 1/2-6 quart slow cooker, place turkey. Place wild rice mixture around edge of cooker
3. Cover and cook on low heat setting 8-9 hours
I can't believe you've never had it!!! It's a staple in my family. It's basically seasoned beef, onions, etc cooked up and then put into a casserole dish, topped with corn and other veggies, then topped with mashed potatoes, then parmesan cheese on top, and cook it in the oven till its all nice an bubbly and good. It's such a warm comforting fodd
I can't find my recipe right now, but i'll be sure to post it when i get home.

Yumm I love Shepard's pie! I haven't made it in a few years cause DH isn't a huge fan but it's such a great comfort food.
I made this ham and potato soup last week and it was delicious. I made a huge batch and had two huge containers to freeze.

Allrecipes is my fav website for cooking cause you can save your recipes in a recipe box, and the reviews are always really helpful to see if it's a recipe worth trying, or if there's any ingredients to add/substitute to make it better.

I made a variation on this spaghetti squash recipe and it was really yummy. DH would have liked it better with pasta, but hey we can't always have what we want

This is a slow cooker peanut chicken recipe. It is really easy and yummy, but you may want to add a couple things to spice it up. The chicken turned out very moist and full of flavor. I added brown rice and steamed broccoli.
I also made red velvet brownies this weekend. The brownies were so-so, but the frosting was amazing. It was my first time making homeade frosting and I may never go back to store bought.

On Sunday I stopped by a local farm and bought a bunch of peaches, so we made pork chops with brandied peach sauce for dinner!

I followed the recipe except I used fresh peaches instead of frozen, and I added about a tablespoon of balsamic vinegar at the end to give a depth of flavor. OH and I didn't light the brandy on fire...just let it reduce a bit. It was delicious!
