No, not using opk's because I was told for me it was stupid because I don't ovulate.  This doctor disagrees.  So, I think I will start charting to see how things go and if I do ovulate and just don't have AF.

I have suspected for awhile that I do ovulate because I have some of the CM signs but disregarded it because I was told by my stupid doctor that I don't.

I agree about a man doctor.  I had a LEEP done in 05 by a guy and he was fantastic.  I would go back to him but he retired.  This guy is older (50-60) and sat and talked with me for 45 minutes which I really appreciated.  He actually EXPLAINED things and didn't just assume anything.

I don't know the name of the surgery but he's going to poke holes in my ovaries and do the dye thing at the same time.  What do you know about those?  Like, what is my down time?  I'm thinking I'll schedule it during Christmas break after we come back from Disney because I don't want to take off of work and explain why.  I'd rather stay under the radar at work right now (people gossip too much),

  • hi !

sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you !

I'm so glad you are comfortable with your new doctor - it sounds like your old one was very set in their way and not really open to see things a different way.

charting can really help understand everything - I know plenty of people who were able to get pregnant very quickly when the charted.

my first gyn was a male doctor and he was so nice ( and a lot gentler if you ask me, lol ) it sounds like maybe and hsg ( hysterosalpingogram ) - Ive had one done but that was for midcycle bleeding.anyways - and hsg, you have a full bladder then they inject dye into the uterus then use a sono to see if any of the dye is spilling over.  its very basic - but when they pull out the d!ldo cam, all the water/dye comes out too -- I was so surprised I looked at the girl and said .. " is that what it likes when your water breaks ? "I was fine - no down time at all, the worse part was having a full bladder and having to wait 1 hour - they said " make yourself feel like you have to pee, then drink more water  good luck good luck good luck !  on a side note - when the chick had to put the d!ldo cam in - she said " do you want to put it in yourself or me ? " is was so awkward !
  • Yeah, I think I knew part of it was the HSG but what I'm freaking out about is the whole "drilling holes in your ovaries" part.  I think I have to go under for that because he does it through a laprascope "in my belly button and down below" lol!

    Gotta love his humor!

I was telling my mom yesterday about it and she was telling me she saw them do an internal sonogram on Dr.Oz the other day and she said, "Do you know they put a condom on it first?!?!?!"  I could only laugh (my mom is so conservative!).  I was like well, at least they're polite about it.

I think the HSG part will be easy but I'm wondering how drilling holes in my organs is going to feel.  I can't imagine it's going to feel awesome.
