When do you think the first WI snowfall will be and where?

And by snow fall, more than just flurries.  Actually snow, snow.  LOL.

Re: When do you think the first WI snowfall will be and where?

  • Northwoods. 3-6 inches.  Within the next month.
  • someone said something about Door County being forecasted to get snow this weekend. Ahh!
  • I heard possible flurries for central WI this Sunday.  I think it will be a while before actual snow, maybe the week of Thanksgiving.

The way winters have been these last few years it is hard to guess.

  • Yeah I heard we (SW WI) could get snow flurries this weekend.  But that doesn't count Stick out tongue

I am guessing for SW that we will get our first "real" snow fall Nov 18th.  No idea why I guessed that.

  • One of the meterologists has snow mixed into the forecast early next week in NE WI.  Northwoods usually gets hit first, don't they?
  • ahhh I can't believe it's time for snow!!
  • NOOOO! I guess as long as it doesn't happen on Thanksgiving or X-Mas Eve or day we're OK. My dad works for the county, so he has to go and plow. It makes for bummer holidays when my dad has to work. I remember the first Christmas Eve we were without him I sat in church and kept looking at the doors waiting for him to walk in. It never happened and I was one sad little girl! I'm just one sad big girl now if dad's not around! :(

  • But we've got to have snow for Xmas.  I'm fine with it snowing the day before or even 2 days before the holidays so it can be cleaned up (but still be there to set the scene), everyone can travel alright, and everyone can be with their families.
