How do you clean?

I can never figure out the best way to clean:

- a razor (I have a really old Venus razor with the grooves)- I think it's time to probably replace it... but in general, I've soaked it in bleach & it doesn't kill the mildew.

- electric toothbrush?

Can you dip the razor into a mixture of warm water and oxy clean.

As for an electric toothbrush, are you talking about the holder? I get a q tip dipped in water/vinegar or oxy clean to get that gunk out.

  • Good ideas... I'll try. For the toothbrush, there are grooves on the sides where it joins each other that gets gunk in there. So gross.

I know what you mean. A qtip can work wonders in those areas or pipe cleaners.

No joke, I really thought I'd wake up to a text this morning what with the full moon and all.

I don't have issues with my razor, but for the toothbrushes I clean them in the kitchen sink using the kitchen scrubby and lots of hot water and dish soap. Also, this might be gross, but when I'm going to be changing the heads, I will use the old ones to clean the grooves, then wash with soap and water...so like I use my old one to wash K's and his old one to was mine. haha. My mom used to always run "old" toothbrushes through the dishwasher and use them to clean when necessary. But don't put e-toothbrushes in the dishwasher!

Yes... I may have been nesting... and was going to put that as my title but forgot! I get so worried about getting too much water on my toothbrush... but I guess it should be ok?
