IT'S SO QUIET!

Is anyone even around?  I guess it's only 8:45, but I need some morning entertainment!

Re: IT'S SO QUIET!

  • Good morning!

I have nothing entertaining for you, but I am feeling very well rested since LO slept 10 hrs straight last night.

I'm sure I'll have some entertaining stories for you later this afternoon since MIL and I are going grocery shopping this morning.

That's so exciting!!!  It has got to feel great to have LO sleeping so well!  Hopefully this trend continues! Smile

I would love to hear some entertaining stories about your MIL.  You'll have to keep me updated!  My MIL always does strange things when we're out shopping... She comes over to this side of the state (she's from western michigan) specifically to go shopping at our JoAnn's (which is way bigger than hers) and Home Goods.  She also is a HUGE fan of Whole Foods and has been known to go grocery shopping over here then drive all of her groceries home (at least an hour and a half drive...)

  • I'm here. Still trying to wake up with coffee in hand. Coffee

The best I can come up with is a story about my priceline hotel bidding the other day.  After trying for days to get a 4* on the really cheap, I figured I would have to up my price a bit. DH asked what I was thinking of bidding and I told him.  He did't say anything, so I went for it and got a hotel. I made a comment about the cost up front and getting it over with. He then said something about how we already spent $X on Wicked and the hotel.  Uh...we already spent over X on just the hotel. Then I thought, did he think I meant I was bidding on the total cost of the hotel  because what I said was per night. I just backed out of the room. Zip it! He has since realized it was per night, but I think he was in denial. Stick out tongue

hahahaha!  Are you going to Wicked in Detroit?  DH bought me tickets for my birthday (actually I bought the tickets with his credit card for my birthday Wink) We are going on the 10th I believe.... I'm not sure which show, probably the later one.  I'm so excited to see it!

  • I am here, boss is finally gone for the day so  I have some free time today!

My story is not really entertaining  just annoying, we switched our cable companies, which in return means all of my pre set DVR recordings are no longer.  I didn't realize the new season of Parenthood or 90210 started last night and I am beyond annoyed with myself that I missed them.

My goal tonight is to go home and set up my dvr....

Oh No!  What company do you have?  You might be able to watch them on demand.  If that doesn't work, you should definitely check out hulu.  They usually have pretty up to date episodes of those shows!

We are actually going to Wicked on Broadway.  My SIL lives in NYC and we usually go visit her every year or so.  We got super cheap plane tickets because of credit card points, so we decided to spring for a hotel for a couple nights for our anniversary instead of staying with SIL. Then we decided to see Wicked while we were there.  DH has never seen it, but I have and it is fantastic. You will love it.

Well that sounds even cooler!  I'm sure it will be amazing!  I've read the book and have the sound track, but I just haven't had a chance to see the show yet.  I was so excited to hear that they were coming back to Detroit!  Your trip sounds awesome!

That sucks!  I would find 90210 online and watch it.  Wink

Speaking of sucky cable, I hate comcast. We have business class internet and we were supposed to have regular cable.  Well they screwed up and we have business class cable. Who the heck even knew that exsisted?  Because of that, they won't let us get a dvr without canceling our business cable and signing up for regular cable (which seems to be the same from what we can tell).  To do this, a cable guy has to come out and unhook and rehook up our cable, according to the biotch on the phone. And we have to be there in case he wants to change out the cable box. It is the same.  We were using DH's computer to record shows, but they changed the signals and now we can't do that.  So no recording for me until we get this figured out.  Good thing there is the internet.

Good Idea!!! We just switched from Comcast to WOW and I am saving about $70 a month with the same services... granted my H says WOW is terrible I haven't noticed a difference..

Comcast is a joke, I actually have to call them today. I went to return all of my boxes like 2 weeks ago on a saturday and the place was packed, my number was 67 they were on 24 or 25... I was not waiting, so I called and they sent me out boxes to mail back the equipment, well the boxes arrived yesterday with no prepaid shipping on them, if Comcast thinks I am paying to have all of this equipment sent back they are NUTS...

Every single time we have returned a box to Comcast, they have said they didn't get it and tried to charge us for it.  Luckily, we saved the receipt for proof. Hold on to your paper receipt if you take it in or if you send it back, make sure they have to sign for it. They are lying liars and probably the worst company we have ever dealt with.  We are stuck with them right now thought because it is the only way we can have internet.

  • I agree that Comcast sucks!  They made me miss part of the NBA playoffs one year and after I was done with them.  The nerve...

I also plan to see Wicked in December and I'm looking forward to it.  I've been wanting to see it for a while now.

oh mil - she's a nice lady but she's just got some odd ideas.  Like she thought I would want the baby to stay the night at her house a week after giving birth. And before we moved into our house, she rearranged our apartment for us - as a surprise!

That's hilarious that your MIL will drive across the state with groceries just to shop at Whole Foods.
