I passed, but...

but I am anemic instead.  I was borderline anemic before getting pregnant, so I figured it was a matter of time.  What bothers me is that when I got to my pharmacy after work to pick up my new prescription prenatals, I was told that nothing was called in for me.  The nurse called me around 9:30 this morning.  So, either she called the wrong pharmacy, didn't call at all, or my pharmacy is screwed up.  I tried calling the Dr.'s office, but by 4:30, of course no one was answering.  Guess I'll go stuff more iron-rich food down my throat Huh?

Thanks for wishing me good luck on the glucose test, I'm sure glad that part is over with!

Re: I passed, but...

  • Glad you passed the GTT! bummer about the new Rx not getting called in; on the upside at least it's just a pill you have to take, right?

  • My Dr does this all the time, and usually its that they "forget" to call it in or tell the receptionist to call it in and they never really do. It's really aggravating.

Glad your GD test was good and that the anemic stuff can be dealt with easily with some presciption pills!

  • Called the office this morning and the nurse was very apologetic.  Then she called me right back and said that the pharmacy already had it!  I think the girl who helped me last night must have been a major newb or something.

You should see the size of the new pre-natals!   They're giant and GREEN Indifferent  Yikes!!  **Little Baby, I am doing this for you!**

First, I am glad they sorted everything out!

That being said, I will willingly trade with you! I can swallow the huge horse pills no problem (I've been taking horse pill antibiotics for my heart since I can remember, b/c I refused to take liquid meds even when I was 4 and 5 years old) but I hate needles (to a point of crying/minor anxiety attacks) and have to stick myself 4 times a day for the GD thing....irony, right?? I agree - the things we do for our kids, eh?

Normally, I don't consider myself a bad pill taker, but I was still taken aback by these.  It's just 3 more months (!) I can handle it.  The whole pricking yourself with a needle, yea, that does NOT sound fun.  But you are almost there!! You can do it :)
