Had a dr. appt. yesterday and got to see the babies moving around a lot! It was so cool! I can't believe they flop around that much and I can't feel them yet.
It's really early to tell. but the ultrasound tech said she thinks baby b is a boy
And here they both are chilling out
DH has an interview today!
I smelled gas last night in our garage and we ended up calling the gas company because it was a very strong smell. It took over our evening but it was not our house, thankfully.
Not an AW but a pretty funny story when we were hanging out with our neighbors last night. DH has a life size cardboard cut out of some man from Star Trek. I know it's in his computer room but it scares the living crap out of me every single time I round the corner to go the room. When we moved in I put the Star Trek man in the window facing the street hoping it would deter people from breaking in, etc. The family across the street from us moved in around the same time and apparently it scared their son so much that he said he was not going to live in the house and when he found out he was stuck living there, he told his mom to come tell us to take the man out of the window. He was very thankful when DH took it out of the window.
I am wearing a sweater. Granted, its a 3/4 sleeve sweater...but a sweater nonetheless!
I love this weather.
Shannon - I am terrible at reading ultrasound pics but they look super cute. Can they tell if they are identical via ultrasound? I vaguely remember something from biology class about id twins sharing a sac or plancenta or something?
Last night I ended up getting home from school and hanging out with DH and some of the neighbor guys until 1am. We had a really good time but I am sure I will pay for it with the other neighborhood wives this weekend. Oh well.
I had to go to Buy Buy Baby yesterday to buy some shower gifts for this weekend and I almost had a panic attack. I felt like an idiot.
OMGosh Shannon, I am not a huge baby person but that ultrasound of both of them is adorable.
I think I may get tickets to the Houston/ Carolina game and make it a bday trip for Matt. The game falls on his actual bday and his fave team (panters) is playing within a few hours of us, it just seems too perfect to not go.

This week I found out that my hire at TCC is official. I'm an on-call, so essentially I'm a substitute librarian, lol. I'm going to try to put most, if not all, of the money I earn there in my savings so that, if I haven't found anything new by the time my UNT job ends in December, I'll have enough to get through Feb. or March.
Shannon - Cool ultrasound pics. I see nothing in the first one, but the second one is so cool with two little babies.
Hooray for everyone. Not much going on here. I wore pants today, instead of a skirt. Yay for cooler weather.
Bio Good Times
YAY everyone! I'm so excited about the cooler weather! I had a big ol' smile walking into work today!
I'm getting my hairs did tomorrow... granted I don't do much to it when I go, but I'm excited nonetheless. I asked my mom if I should get low & high lights this time for "fall" and she said it makes my hair look dirty. UGH I normally only get high lights. So idk....
I can't really read them eaither, they kind of just look like sort of baby shaped blobs to me, but I do like seeing both of them :-) The Dr. said they are each in their own sac shich means they're probably fraternal, but they still could be identical. They have to do a blood test after they're born to tell for sure. A teacher that I work with has 5yr old twin girls and he's not sure if they're identical or not because his insurance wouldn't cover the blood test and they look enough alike to be identical :-)
Baby stores freak me out. I don't know what half of the stuff is and I get totally overwhelmed. I'll need to take a friend who has kids with me to register.
Shannon - They are super cute! It's fraternal right? Two sacs, right?
Anna - Great news on the job. Hope you are able to find something after the UNT job.
Jaymi - That poor kid! At least he can sleep in peace now.
You guys reminded me.. DH and I had one of those perfect nights last night. It was nice just being around the house with him even if we were cleaning. We were listening to Pandora and the first song we ever slow danced to came on so in the middle of our living room we took a break to dance. It felt like a movie moment.

H is terrified that it will be 2 girls because he says "twin girls are on every guys list. I don't know that I can handle that when they're teenagers"
I think I would like them to be both the same because I think they'll be built in best friends, but one of each would be cool too.
I feel so legit. I just got paged on the Getting Pregnant board for a non-PM thing. LOL!
Shannon - I know a set of fraternal b/g twins and they were each others BFF growing up and when they became teenagers it just amplified the protective brother/sister relationship. They are still very close as adults, so I think either way you will get built in best friends. So exciting for you!!

Ben said I could make a consult for hair extensions. I want them so bad at this point I hardly care how much they are. But after the consult I may change my mind. I wore my hair down the other day just to see what it looked like and it just looked awful. So I'm about ready to say it's either extensions or I chop it off.

LOL! I should have warned the nosy among you that the subject matter is a little TMI. I am so used to it from the TTC boards that I don't even notice anymore.
I still refuse to have an official TTC buddy but this girl and I started trying on the exact same day and are in the exact same month and cycle day of trying, so I kind of feel a weird connection to her and really want to see her succeed.
Everyone: Congrats on your aw's.
Shannon: Your blobs are so cute hanging out side-by-side! My bro and I are Irish twins (11mos apart) and we're super BFFs. We were even roommates in college and still talk daily. Baby stores are overwhelming, for sure. I went to Babies R Us a couple of times just to look around and ask questions before I ever registered. I also read lots of Amazon reviews before choosing things for the registry. I did PBK for bedding, though, because I don't like monkeys and practically EVERYTHING gender-neutral at BRU has stupid monkeys. (Henry was a surprise)
My AW: I signed up for a crochet class at my local community college yesterday. It starts next Thursday. I'm going to attempt to make most Christmas gifts this year!
crocheting is super fun. I made scarves and hats for Christmas one year.
I'm doing gender neutral for the nursery even though we will find out the genders. I found this one that I LOVE and I may just straight up copy it.
I just got an email that airfare from DFW to San Francisco is $49 each way for travel before the end of October. I may hyperventilate. Seriously.
Shannon - I have a FB friend who did that same nursery! I think the colors were slightly different, but so cute!

We have a weekend, but we just came back from Vegas and are in the middle of kitchen renovation.
I'm currently pitching a short weekend to DH... staying at a Best Western. LOL.
Funny thing... I went and looked too, and I sort-of know her, from my month board! She hasn't been around in a while, but she used to post there pretty often.
Deepthi, I would like to start decorating a nursery now too. Instead, I'm just pinning all my ideas on Pintrest... if DH sees it, he might freak out a bit hahaha
