photogs: paid assistant gig 9/23 (NW Houston)

My assistant just realized she is unable to help me at our next wedding.

This is not a huge venue, so it will be a smallish/medium wedding, and a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn more about shooting weddings.  The groom is a high school friend of mine, so I'll know a lot of people there.  I would consider working it unassisted, but since my HS friends will probably be chatty, I really do want a second shooter.

I posted it on pixtus.com, but here's the info:

Coverage will begin mid-afternoon, ceremony at 7:15p. I will cover beginning at 3, need a second to help cover by at least 5:00 p.m. Wedding is at House Plantation, off 290 kind of near the outlet mall. It's a cute little old house with outdoor pavilion wedding venue.

I don't have final timeline yet, but assuming we'll be done around midnight, possibly a smidge later.

Breakdown:

  • This is a paid gig, approximately $100-150 depending on your experience, and how long I need you to stay once the reception "main events" are done.
  • You use my equipment (do not bring any of your own equipment), MTP retains copyright, you do not keep/edit any images. I shoot Nikon, but I can't imagine a Canon shooter would have any trouble adapting.
  • You will mainly be covering second angles as needed, helping schlep equipment, holding flashes, etc.  I will provide plenty of instruction and help.
  • You will get to eat ; )
  • You need to be a calm, non-freaker-outer type person.
  • Be available THIS Saturday morning for a quick get-to-know-me at my Montrose/Richmond office or Friendswood office.

Please e-mail assist@monkey-tree.com and tell me a little about you. Use "9-23-11" in the subject line. Thanks : )
