Recommend your flat iron...

I'm sure this has been asked before but, well we all know how that goes...

I currently have a Chi, it is on it's very last leg.  It first broke about a year after I got it, DH fixed it, it worked another year now it's breaking again, so I'm not sure I want to spend the $ on another one.   Anyone have a different brand to recommend?  Bonus points if it works as well as the Chi but costs less!

I have a Croc and LOVE it.  It's what Andre uses.  There's temp settings, which my old chi didn't have and so I don't use the highest.

I have a Paul Mitchell Pro-Tools Express.  I loved it when I had long hair.  A friend picked it up at a beauty supply store for $80 for me.

I'll have to look at the exact model when I get home but I have a BabyBliss Pro model. It's what my brother uses and he's a hair stylist and I've been very happy with it. I think it works much better than my CHI.

I have a PM as well and IMO, it kicks butt compared to any other one I've had. I love, love, love my PM.

I had a Chi a long time ago, but wasn't impressed. DH bought me this one for Christmas a couple years ago from Target and I really like it. Plus it's pink

 

ETA: mine is pink, this one is purple.

about a year and a half ago, mine crapped out. Don't even remember what it was and I'm too cheap to buy a CHI.

I went to Sally's and they were having a sale so I bought a Helen of Troy flat iron and got the hair dryer for free or vice versa.

I LOVE my cheap wet2straight from target. It works as good or better than any one that has ever been put on my  hair in a salon. I don't use it on wet hair, but it actually does work that way...it just is hell on your hair if it's not mostly dry.
