What's up, ladies? Is anyone else crafting during naptime? lol
So far, this pregnancy has totally thrown me off. I've been sicker than I ever have been before (totally a good thing, not complaining!), and I haven't even wanted to sew. Now that I'm nearing the end of the first tri, I'm starting to feel a little more normal and get back to crafting. It could also have to do with the cool weather and getting my fall decorations out. I actually baked today (I haven't baked since spring, and I looove to bake!), and now I busted out DD's quilt.
Rant: Never, ever make a twister quilt (using the CW Lil' Twister) in any size larger than a wall hanging or baby quilt. Don't even think about it. And if you do, DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT, do 1" sashing with cornerstones. Assembling this quilt is taking FOREVER and I'm ready to move on, darn it!
So...who's around?
Re: Naptime check in
Man, I would like a naptime. DH has been getting up super early lately because he has to travel for audits, ugh.
Alas, I am here for another hour, biding my time until knit group tonight, yay! However, I plan to work on that test knit tank top in the horrid orange yarn. I cannot finish that project fast enough!

lol Don't you hate it when you have to do something you love using a color/pattern you haaaate? I made a quilt for a friend and it was very much "her" but not something I would choose to work on. I hated the fabrics the whole time!

Hello. I wish I had naptimes... My 21 month old has decided that she doesn't do naps anymore unless we are driving in the car... Not what I want to hear as I'm due in Nov! I NEED that time
I'm mainly a lurker as I hate to post on my IPAD and that is what I usually am checking in on, but I just wanted to say that I totally thought of you (or at least your 'nest name' this weekend
Our message on Sunday was prayer and 1Thess 5:17 was one of the main verses that we covered
Every time I saw it one the overhead (the pastor posts a outline as he speaks) I was pulled back to the Nest
hahah.
No crafting today (yet). I did, however, put a turkey breast in the crockpot, bake a German apple pie, and have dough sitting in the window for homemade dinner rolls. I've done three loads of laundry, picked up the main level of my house, and bathed three little dogs. I need the nap.
I'm ready to have this baby. I'm not super uncomfortable or miserable or anything like that. I'm just tired of being fat. I'm ready to meet my baby. I'm ready for the rest of my wardrobe to start fitting again.
Naptime would be nice! No crafting at work, sadly.
I'm working on a baby blanket for a friend, and it's easy, but kinda boring (just a giant washcloth really, in several shades of blue). But I'm dying to finish so I can start a sweater (hopefully this one will work out for me!)
Ooh! I really like that sweater! I love the zigzag detail. Let me know if you have any trouble with that one. I seem to remember you struggling with sweater construction in the round. That one looks like it could easily be adapted to flat knitting, though. Any way you knit it, I'm sure it'll come out gorgeous!

Thanks! I had trouble with the armpits of the last sweater I made (it was this one from Knitty). The armpits we waaaay too low and it made the arms look absurd. The sweater is still in my closet waiting to be frogged
