Makeup with 'better ingredients'

I'm looking for a great makeup with 'better ingredients.' Have been using Bare Minerals (Bare Escentuals) for years, but starting to realize they aren't necessarily as 'natural' as they claim to be.

I love the concept of the powdered foundation. Can anyone recommend a great one that they use that is truly natural?

Using http://www.ewg.org/skindeep/ I have been looking at maybe Rejuva Minerals? or Coastal Classic Creations?

Re: Makeup with 'better ingredients'

  • This probably isn't the best help. I did try Rejuva and didn't like it as well as Bare Minerals in terms of coverage and staying on all day. I've gone back to Bare Minerals. Rejuva does (or at least used to) have the option to buy a few smaller samples to test the colors, so you might want to try that to see if it works better for you.

  • I've had Rejuva and like it, but it's pricey for what you get.  I have realized that is it's in the lower yellow to green range, I am okay with it.  I also get some Mary Kay products, of which some are still in the skin deep green range.

  • Have you tried Everyday Minerals?  All of their products have a rating between 1-3 on skin deep.  I used their products awhile back and found them to be good, although it can be overwhelming to pick colors.  Their prices are really good too.
  • I also like Everyday Minerals.  They have really good prices!!

If I need to pick something up at the drug store- my fav is Physicians Formula Organic Wear.  I really like their loose powder and their mascara.  I am not totally crazy about the blush b/c I really don't see any color on my face after applying it.  I do really like the Avon Minerals blush.

  • I use the Organic Wear line, you can get them at any drugstore.

  • I have used Rejuva for a couple years and love it. It's not any pricier than Bare Minerals and I found they had better color options for me. My mom tried it also and thought it didn't cover quite as well as Bare Minerals, I have not found it to be a problem myself.

  • I use all Aveda.  I work for an Aveda salon.  I love that they are natural and sourced from small farms and renewable resources.

Same here - I posted above about their baby care line as well and I have switched to their makeup as well.
