This has been the longest week ever! Yay for Friday!! What are all the DC nesties up to this weekend??
Tonight we're having dinner at home, then to the gym, then home to relax. I hope to fall asleep on the couch early-ish, boring I know, but I am so tired.
Tomorrow is my favorite festival on earth -- Heavy Seas Brewing's Bacon and Beer festival. All you can eat bacon (10+ varieties) plus all you can drink beer (also 10+ of their brews) and all sorts of dishes made with bacon. Heaven on earth.
Sunday is recovery day and we will head to Tysons for a bit to use some coupons and such. Hopefully a stop at Mad Fox in Falls Church since it's delicious and we have to stop at Penzey's anyway, which is right across the street. We plan to do dinner at Gordon Biersch -- I didn't realize how brewery/beer-centric our weekend plans are until just now. Not that I'm complaining mind you!
Re: TGIF! Weekend plans??
Ohhh! We were thinking of going to the Bacon & Beer fest! We went to their oyster festival a few years ago and it was awesome. Have fun!
Our weekend should be blissfully quiet. I am tired. Tonight is homemade pizza (and purchased wine) night. Tomorrow we're looking at a few houses, then DH is going to the UMD football game and C and I are hanging with friends. Sunday we have nothing going on, which is awesome. If we get real ambitious we might head to the Maryland Wine Festival.
I'm soooooo freaking glad it's friday!
Today/tonight - clean, laundry, make dinner, get a grocery list together and relax.
Tomorrow - hopefully DH gets the day off so we can go to the Celtic festival in Wheaton!
Sunday - probably (hopefully) nothing. Maybe watch some movies. Since it's fall-like outside, I think I might make fake Thanksgiving for dinner.
We make the rockin' world go 'round.
stargirl, i am jealous of your beer/bacon-centered weekend!
tonight: laundry has to happen (exciting, i know). hub has had a long week so probably watching a little tv and early to bed.
tomorrow: sleeping in, grocery shopping, returning sneakers to nordstrom, and then probably heading to old town to enjoy this fabulous weather! i want to be outside as much as possible this weekend. we'll probably have dinner in old town too.
sunday: gym or a walk around our neighborhood. watching the saints game and doing stuff at home, then meeting friends at chef geoff's to watch the pats game.
I'm not really sure yet.
Going to drive out to Haymarket for a morning boot camp. My normal trainer during the week hosts a bootcamp on Saturdays for free so I'll be there at 6:30 AM.
After: Drive back, farmers market on the way home and then sleep. DH and I are helping a friend get her house ready to rent so we'll be painting, and maybe helping do her floors.
Sunday - recovery day of doing nothing.
tonight: picnic in our front yard to celebrate the nice weather. this is, of course, assuming it won't be freezing.
saturday: farmer's market, then baking & making apple jam with my SIL. I'll also try to plant some perennials I've bought recently.
sunday: breakfast at northside social. any yard work that didn't get done saturday. hopefully being able to get a little bit of "me" time at some point.
Tonight: Anniversary dinner in Great Falls. Hope it's yummy! (using a Groupon)
Tomorrow: Hubz is working in the morning unfortunately, then my friend is having a murder mystery birthday party at the Museum of American History. (They give you clues and such... and you run around in teams... should be fun.)
Sunday: Rehearsal in the morning, gym, and joining hubz and his friend to watch the Cardinals game (or, as most would call it, the Redskins game).

When I get home I want to finish putting this giant decal on DS's wall--3 pieces down, one more to go! Tonight we'll order take-out for dinner and probably watch TV or a movie after DS goes to bed.
Tomorrow, DS starts his soccer class and I hope to get some grocery shopping in before nap time. A friend of mine and her daughter are coming to visit this evening and spend the night and I'm SO EXCITED because we haven't seen each other in like 2 years! DH has promised to hide upstairs so we can have a girls' night in.
Sunday my friend is heading out in the morning, then I'm meeting other friends for lunch. Need to hit the mall to get DH some new pants, DS some new fall clothes, and new sunglasses for myself (stupid dog ate mine this week!). Football the rest of the day!
Yay for the weekend!!!
Tonight: Homemade pizza, salad, and wine with a friend (and the fam of course).
Tomorrow: Consignment Sale in the early AM followed by Cox Farms. SSW just reminded me that we have a turkey in the freezer and if I can quick thaw it in time, I think we will make it for dinner on Saturday. Friends are coming over for dinner.
Sunday: If we don't make it on Sat to Cox Farms, I'll take the kids this day. I've been gone for the last week so catching up on laundry an just playing with the kidos are high on my agenda.
Tonight: No plans, just cleaning the house a little.
Tomorrow: Playground in the morning, Trader Joe's after naps. Then my brother and his gf and my friend are coming over, and we're going to try out a bunch of cocktails with St. Germain (uh, mostly after DS is asleep).
Sunday: Farmer's market in the morning, then after naps we're going to help my friend put together her nursery furniture. She's a single mom and the baby is going to be here sooooon (yay!).

I had to look up the beer and bacon festival. That sounds amazing! I'm going to have to remember that for next year.
Tonight: Go out to dinner somewhere with outdoor seating so we can enjoy the nice weather. Then watch Project Runway on DVR.
Saturday: I need to go for a run in the morning. Probably go to the farmer's market and do other grocery shopping. I'm not sure about the rest of the day.
Sunday: No plans yet. Maybe go to the Maryland Ren Fest?
Tonight- workout, veg on couch afterwards.
Tom.- maybe go to a yard sale, but we need to be purging more posessions instead of acquiring them. Cleaning, grocery shopping, packing more boxes for our move.
Sunday- church, cleaning and/or grocery shopping if not done on Sat.

Tonight: Dinner in, run to Target to get more ant traps for the ants that decided to invade our house during last week's rain. The traps we have don't seem to be doing the trick, so if anyone has any tips for getting rid of the little bastards, please share!
Tomorrow: Drive up to central NJ to visit it some friends. They have two kids under three, so I expect we will mostly just be hanging out at their place.
Sunday: Day of death. Drive up to northern NJ for the unveiling of DH's aunt's gravestone. Visit with the family at his uncle's house for a few hours. Drive down to Philadelphia for the viewing for my aunt's father. Drive back to VA when that finishes at 9 PM.

We lived on the ground floor of an apt complex in college that was always infested with the "little bastards." I'll tell you what doesn't work: blaring DMB's "Ants Marching" while chasing them with a mop while drunk. It did provide funny stories though. Good luck.
They are such a pain.

Terro, I swear by it. We too had an influx of the little sugar ants while on vacation, and after 3 days of a Terro eating frenzy we haven't seen any in the last week.
Thanks, ladies, good to know! More Terro, less DMB/drunken mopping

So psyched for this weekend - all fun, family, and friends + fall weather!
Today: Ran errands, including buying 19 books at Borders for a mere $35! Also making deviled eggs for tomorrow, and going to Herndon's "Jam Brew" concert on the town green.
Saturday: Knock out 6 miles (training for a 10K), then Otto's family reunion all day, then a baby shower in the evening.
Sunday: MD Rennaissance Festival! Love, love, love this event and go every year.
Tonight: Helping DH pack for his trip to Blacksburg. I am staying home for the VT game while our friend's husband goes with him and she comes up here to visit me as they live in Richmond, I think this is a great trade! We do have 2 extra tickets to the game if anyone needs them! Once DH leaves I will probably work on cleaning the house or just get stuck watching trashy tv.
Tomorrow: Sleep in since I don't have to coach in the morning. Will then do stuff around the house and answer e-mails. In the afternoon I plan to run to Shirlington with the dog to meet a friend for Wags and Wiskers. My OOT friend will come in Saturday night and we are making homemade pizza, having some wine and girl time!
Sunday: May attend a bridal meeting with said friend and then meet my parents for lunch. Probably fit some football watching in with DH before I have to go to my coaching job in the evening.
