Furniture question

Starting next weekend DH and I will be going around town looking at new beds. We are only pricing right now and trying to get an idea of what we want. We will probably start at Mathis Bros, but I would love to hear where you purchased your bed from. I have looked online but don't really want to spend the time putting a bed together. TIA!

Re: Furniture question

  • Bob Mills

I have two hands available now so I'll elaborate :). We wanted something with storage and Bob Mills was the only place we looked that had what we wanted. The headboard has shelves and a sliding storage space, and the "side tables" are actually tall with lots of drawers with a pull out part to act as a nightstand. My description probably makes no sense but I have pics of it on fb because I'm lame like that Lol.

  • Galleria.

We shopped at Pottery Barn and West Elm, and thought for sure we'd purchase a bedroom set from one of the two. We got bored one Saturday, and drove down to Reno. Looked at Suburban, but their stuff is a little too modern for us. Went to Galleria, and we were surprised that they had several beds we liked. The quality probably isn't quite as good as Pottery Barn, but the price was amazing. H made sure it was all solid wood, and we decided the deal was too good to pass up. We'll buy our "dream" bedroom set when we have our "dream" house. :)

  • We got one we really liked at Edmond Furniture Gallery. We looked around all over the place, I think.
  • Bedroom Expressions which is part of Furniture Row.  We've had our bedroom furniture about six years and I'm happy with the quality.  We also bought our mattress there which we've been pleased with as well.

  • I get magazines all the time from Home Decorators Collection and they have some VERY cute beds. They do have to be put together (which I know you are trying to avoid) but I have read on the D&R board that the quality is really, really good especially for the price.  They have some VERY VERY cute Martha Stewart branded beds.
