My little nuggets
milo is twenty pounds, he wears anything from 3-6, 6-12. however i want something to layer all season so i bought 12-18 outer shell and i'm going to get a cheap smaller fleece for inside.
I love it! I was so happy when I woke up and the thermostat in my room was so low!
Jess.. I totally feel you. I have only one pair of maternity jeans, which I am wearing, a maternity tank and a button-up sweater that's currently unbuttoned. I wrongfully assumed I wouldn't need anything for cool weather outside of that one pair of jeans.
light jacket/hoodie
shirt and l/s onesie
pants/socks/light shoe
layers basically.
I love this weather!
Lachute and Larrysdarling, what kind of coats are you looking at for the winter? A regular jacket, snowsuit, coat and snowpants for when necessary? There are so many options. Larrysdarling, Claire is almost 22 pounds and i'm thinking of going with 18 months so it lasts her the winter, also.
I might get the *** for this but i bought a 64 dollar outer shell jacket (Wind proof and water proof) from polran o. pyret. i looked around at north face and pantagonia for a bit and they were a higher price and i couldn't find anything second hand. i shelled out the cash because i wanted something that was going to be good for rain as well since we are outside alot. i am not paying big money for a fleece though, i am going to find something second hand.

Emma is 18-19 pounds and just bought her a winter jacket at Carters. I was going to get her 18 months but luckily tried it on her. The sleeves were at least 3 inches past the end of her hands. So we went with 12 months. Just something to consider.
We went with a regular jacket, but will get her some kind of snowsuit contraption further down the line. I've been looking for one at consignment sales to save some $$.
you guys are making me feel like little man is huge! he is 15lbs and 26in. our problem is that 3-6 fit great lengthwise but are swimming on his waist.
my mom grabbed a snowsuit and we are going to get a bundle me thing for the stroller. not sure what else we will need. he has some hoodies and a heavy irish sweater.
lachute- since you are primarily a walker too are you doing a stroller snuggle thing and a jacket or just the jacket?
we have a bundler that we can switch between his strollers, but for real cold last year he needed both a jacket and the bundler + we put a blanket into the mix too. i dress him like i dress myself in layers. i figure i can always take stuff off.
as for longer sleeves in jackets i figured i would fold them up or pull them over his fingers. i bought mitten clips though and fleece mittens
These are the best fleece jackets for kids. They remind me of North Face ones. I had the 6-9 mo. and the 12 mo. sizes for Oliver last year. I'm thinking of getting the 18-mo. one for this year. Last year, he just had this, a snowsuit (which he barely wore), and a bundleme (which we used a ton on his stroller). This coat is great for layering with a blanket or bundleme --- and it still works well with the carseat.

this is the fleece we are looking out too
ummm Ering if your little man is huge, then whats Anna??? my little miss 18 pounder at four months old!
And Tam I feel ya, I put pants on JD this morning and they were floods, they both need all new stuff. I grabbed two pairs of sweat pants in Target this morning to hold us over the next few days
And then there is me with zero winter clothes that fit since I spent last year in maternity stuff. I either need to lose 20 lbs fast or hit the mall
