kimbatron

Overall I'm doing ok!  BH contrax are out of control, I have zero memory and cannot remember what sleep feels like.

Per my OB, my cervix is "softening" and that's about it.  They are predicting he will be 9+lbs on account of my GD but I'm just crossing my fingers for a vaginal delivery at this point.

How are you doing?  You're due the 6th right?

Re: kimbatron

  • My BH are also out of control! I also have wicked acid reflux; my OB has me taking pepcid twice a day since I puke if too much acid builds up.  I am due Oct 4. Is the softening related to effacement?

I hope the baby is a good sleeper so you are able to get some rest after he's born, at least!

  • Oh man the heartburn!  I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.  I was chugging milk for it, but it made my blood sugars go too high so I had to stick to tums.  I hope that gets better for you in the last few weeks.

I have no idea about the cervix/effacement but I think you're right.  I swear I'm clueless about almost everything and I think I prefer it that way!

Remind me, do you know what you're having?

  • oh my gosh you guys are having babies soon! i love it. once i dropped the heatburn eased up for me, i hope it happens for you too. although- i think you are both more pregnant than i ever was.

  • I'm also clueless about almost everything. I have to write everything down. Tums was working wonders for me except for the past few weeks and then all of a sudden it just wasn't enough anymore. I look like a capital V when I sleep... keep the head elevated so the acid stays down, keep the feet elevated for the swelling. pretty picture!

I'm having a boy! My nursery is pretty lame though. I haven't been able to get DH to take his diplomas out of the room, let alone hang up cute baby stuff. But the furniture and all that is set up so I guess a newborn won't be bent out of shape about some diplomas...
