So I just got my firts pair of maternity jeans - yea! They are a very dark blue, not my first choice but the pickings were slim. They came with a warning about bleeding when washing. So I washed them like 5 times in warm water thinking I could get the makority out. I wore them with my brand new white tennis shoes and where they hit my shoes is turning blue. Seriously!
So questions one....how do I get them to stop bleeding?
Questions two....how do I get my brand new shoes clean without putting them through the wash?
Re: My jean keep bleeding
Jeans - Wash them inside out in cold water and throw a Shout Color Catcher in with the load.
Shoes - Magic eraser... assuming they're not cloth. Or Fantastik. I hate that cleaner (it's the smell, once you use natural cleaners the other stuff smells horrible), but it does an awesome job at cleaning shoes.
ETA: I always wash all of my pants (jeans and dress pants) inside out. I don't want them to bleed and fade. Washing them inside out really helps curtail that. It's not just a one and done thing. I always wash them inside out. Even if they're old. It keeps the fabric looking new much longer.

I do this also. Anything that bleeds I put 1/2 cup white vinegar in the rinse cycle and it helps. I also use a color catcher just to be extra sure.
