wedding question

So DH and I are both in a wedding at the end of October (the same wedding just to clarify). The bride wants to line Bridesmaids and groomsmen up by height, which is fine, I did the same thing for my wedding. Last time I talked to her, she was trying to figure out if one of the other bridesmaids was taller than me, and if DH is the tallest groomsmen. She mentioned that she thinks this other girl is taller than me, and therefore DH and I would not be "walking" together. I don't really care, I just thought it would be a nice touch for us to be able to walk together out of the ceremony and into the reception. I also have been to a couple of weddings where there have been couples in the bridal party and they have walked together.

So I'm wondering what everyone thinks. I realize it's her wedding and she can do whatever she wants, I'm just curious.

I think lining up by height is a bit overthinking things and something I didn't worry about.  But it wouldn't bother me if H and I didn't walk together in a wedding.  People have their own reasons for wanting things certain ways, I wouldn't think twice about it.

I think height is fine... That's what I did, ut I had no couples in the wedding party. IMO, couple trumps height.

we had a couple in our BP and they didn't walk in together, but that was literally only because she was my MOH and the husband was not the BM.  Otherwise, I would have let them walk together.

Sounds a little more thought out than it needs to be. If you are taking a "line" picture then I could see that it would be nice, but otherwise I don't think it makes a difference.

I agree with you that since you are married and you are both in the wedding that it would be nice if you could walk together. That all being said, like you mentioned it is her wedding.

I totally agree. I actually did my order by height but only because it worked out that way and was easiest. But she actually texted all of us today to ask our exact heights...

Oh well, I would never say anything to her about it anyway, I was just curious. She has enough sh!t from her sister/MOH who is a complete PITA, but that is another story!

Oh my! I actually let my BMs choose their own shoes and one of my SIL had FLATS! Gasp!!

This. Only the guy was the best man and the girl was a bridesmaid. They danced together for the BP dance. After they asked us a million times if we cared. Uh...no. Rock on-I don't care.

We also had another couple come from our wedding party. They didn't walk together. They met at the reception and celebrated two years of dating over Labor Day weekend.

I'd also add that in her height rules DH and I would NEVER in a million years be lined up together. I'm 4'11" and he's 6' even. I'd have to get a pair of stilettos! 12" stilettos!

There were no couples in our bridal party, but we lined them up by height except for the MOH and BM.  I did ask the girls to wear less of a heel since DH isn't extremely tall and I didn't want us all towering over him lol.  If it's important for you to walk with your hubby, maybe you could wear high heels and the other BM could wear a lower heel to even out your height more so you could walk with your hubby.
