Need ideas for large dinner party menu
needs to be buffet style to feed about 20 people (including some kids)...any creative ideas or recipes would be appreciated!
Re: Need ideas for large dinner party menu
The regulars should know that I'm laughing as I recommend:
Above the 40th parallel: baked ziti or lasagna
Below it: ham or pork tenderloin
Bada-bum-swish. Thank you. Thank you very much. I'll be here all week.
Other ideas: chili-cheese casserole, spicy spaghetti casserole (old recipe I'll be happy to share), crock-pot stews & soups.
Tell us a little more about what you're envisioning and we can guide you more.

Thinking of doing cosmetic updates to a dated home? These were our costs.
How fancy and what time of year? My first thoughts were along Tar's line (duh, it's a reason they are a standard response). Turkey is also really good if it's not too close to Thanksgiving. I did a nice menu of turkey, rosemary mashed sweet and white potatoes, spinach salad, broccoli. Spiral ham, cheesy potatoes, glazed carrots, salad.
If you aren't going too fancy you could do different soups and sandwiches. Pulled pork/chicken sandwiches or a taco bar are also good for casual ideas. I just did chicken and noodles for 25 and it went over really well.
