Who did your team play yesterday and how did it go?

The Clemson Tigers played a great game against Auburn and put an end to their winning streak!  In the past, Clemson tends to give up in the second half, but they kept it together for the win (38-24).  Last year was a rebuilding year for us, and I am hopeful that we are on our way back.  Next week is FSU, so a tough game, but I hope we can make a decent showing.

  • my H and I really enjoyed watching the Clemson/Auburn game. very entertaining. congrats to Clemson!

we played Idaho. we won by 30 points which looks awesome, but when actually watching the game, we made a lot of mistakes that we shouldn't have. hope to clean it up before the start of conference play next week. we'll be playing Oklahoma State next week.

  • Mizzou played Western Illinois.  They won 69-0.  It was great winning by such a large margin after I tough loss last week at Arizona State, but it got kind of boring.

Like Pooh, Mizzou still showed signs of needing to work out some kinks.  They go to Oklahoma next weekend so hopefully they get things ironed out as we head into conference play.

  • Played Washington for the third time in a year...ugh.  Last year regular season and the Holiday Bowl.  Beat them yesterday 51-38.

I was thrilled to see our sophomore QB making much better choices and passing fairly well.  He has so much potential and Big 10 games will go much better if he plays well.

Our defense did a pretty good job.  They shouldn't have had 38 but we kind of thought we put the game away and got lazy.  Our corners need a lot of work, though.  Our best one has been hurt all year so hopefully he comes back in the next week or two.

Next week is our first road game but it's Wyoming.  Week after that is at Wisconsin so we'll probably start looking ahead which might be ok to do.

  • Auburn's streak is over but it is still great to be an Auburn Tiger!

Everyone knew we would have some issues this year, heck we basically have the youngest team in the country. That's a rebuilding year...

And I'm fine with it. Sure, I would have rather had the win but...17 wins in a row is still pretty dang good, after all, no one else can say their first loss in 18 games came yesterday Smile

I believe we have a very talented (albeit young) team and a great coaching staff that'll work out all of our kinks.

I was highly disappointed that Iowa came back for the win yesterday. And the FSU/OU game was depressing, too. But the Golden Gophers won (for the first time this year) so that was good to see! And Carolina won (beat Virginia) so that was good, too.

  • Penn State is my team and we played Temple.

We won, but it was sloppy and horrible. I feel more upset about winning against Temple like that than I did losing to Alabama.

    Ugh..

  • I'm the Oklahoma State girl who stayed up watching that crazy, crazy game. Well, I slept through first half [12:15-1:40am]...but I watched second half [2:00-3:36am].

Yeah, we won, but it was really sloppy play. From what I heard, they were thisclose to calling the game off, but they went ahead and played anyway. Yeesh. I'm just glad no one on our side got seriously hurt, although I feel for the Tulsa QB who got hurt though.

  • We beat Tennessee in a sloppy mess of a game. Granted, our DBs need to learn how to legally defend WRs, but there were some questionable calls.

Seeing how pretty much every call when against us, though, I'm happy with the end result.

We have KY on the road next week, then hosting 'Bama! That's when the real fun begins...

  • My alma mater Western Michigan beat Central Michigan 44-24 (or maybe it was 21).  I was so happy because CMU is our rival & they had beaten us 6 straight before this win.

My other team I root for Michigan, pounded Eastern Michigan 31-3.

DH's team, Michigan State, didn't fare as well to Notre Dame.
