Truly green cleaning brands?

I hear Seventh Generation and Method brought up. Are they truly green? I read somewhere that SAHMs are 4x more likely to get cancer and one of the reasons they think this is due to Lysol and really chemical products being inhaled all day long.  So I was thinking of doing just vinegar and BS or essetnail oils (still don't know if I'm supposed to put them in a mixture or on their own). But I was curious is something like Seventh Generatino totally safe/natural?

Re: Truly green cleaning brands?

  • For anything that I would use an all purpose cleaner on, I use vinegar. If I need to scrub something I will sprinkle some baking soda, spray a little vinegar over it and scrub. Simple and cheap.

  • I also use vinegar, baking soda, oxygen bleach, hydrogen peroxide and essential oils for cleaning.

I'm curious to know where that statistic came from about SAHM being 4x as likely to get cancer because I know plenty of working moms that also do the cleaning so they would be inhaling the same chemicals.
