Does The Container Store ever have coupon codes?
I don't know if I've ever seen one. I really want to order a bunch of stuff, but their shipping is really expensive, so I'd love a free shipping code or something. There is not a store within 5 hours of where I live. 
So, should I bite the bullet and just place an order, or is it worth holding out for a coupon code?

They've done them in the past -- any time Oprah had Peter Walsh on, there was usually a special coupon code they promoted at that time... maybe 20% off or so. Haven't seen one in a year or so, though.
Then, before Christmas, they'll usually run a "free shipping on christmas stocking stuffers" promotion.
Ditto the Oprah comment.
They also hold Elfa sales after Christmas and sometime in July. I think it's 25-30% off. Not free shipping, but you save enough that it becomes worth it. I completely recommend Elfa over any other closet system I have used (closetmaid and rubbermaid).
