Okay, so technically it's not my latest Finished Object, since I finished the test knit this weekend (yay!), but I only just got DH to take pictures of it last night, so here it is, the New York Cardigan:
I used Knit Picks Gloss DK, which is a lovely merino/silk blend--so soft!
The pattern was pretty easy, too--well the body was. It was just a simple raglan. The "scarf" part was knit separately and sewn on afterwards. That piece got pretty tedious after a couple of pattern repeats. Now I remember why I don't knit scarves very often!
Also, I was intending to make the sleeves 3/4 rather than capped, but underestimated the amount of yarn I would need--oops! Oh well, I kinda like it with the capped sleeves, but know it's not going to last long with the temperature dropping the way it has been...

Sigh, someday I'll conquer garment knitting. In the meantime, I'll just drool over your skills.
I think I like it better with cap sleeves. Could you wear a long sleeve t-shirt under it to extend the wearing time?
Thanks!
Yeah, I probably could wear a long sleeve tee under it, but then it doesn't look as "professional" you know? Trying to look good for the new company.
