CO Nestie needing some moving help
Hey ladies!
A friend's DH just got a GREAT job offer in Baltimore, and needs some neighborhood recs. She has never been and won't really have the time to check it out before moving. They don't mind being in the 'burbs, they just want a safe place to live.
Close proximity to hospitals would be great because she is a nurse, and usually works graveyard shifts.
Thanks for any help you can give! I'm so excited for them, but sad about her having to leave me
Re: CO Nestie needing some moving help
Do you know where in Baltimore he is going to be working? There are tons of hospitals in this area, some really awesome ones at that. So she shouldn't have a problem being relatively close to a few options.
No children, commute now is about 45 min.
I have no idea where he will be working, but I think a safe neighborhood is more of a priority than commute at this time.

I live in the city and really enjoy it, There are several safe neighborhoods that are fairly close to downtown and a number of hospitals. Federal Hill, Otterbien, Riverside, and South Baltimore (Usually referred to as Fed Hill Area) are all fairly safe and are close to the Inner Harbor. Parking can be an issue especially on football game days. Mount Vernon, Fells Point, and Canton are also city options. There are some others as well, but I don't know much about them.
http://www.livebaltimore.com/ is a good resource for someone moving to the city.
Edit to add-- sorry for the repeats, I didn't read the thread before I posted.
