Hi all!! I'm trying to figure out a Halloween costume for this year. Usually I can come up with something I want to be but this year I am having a hard time. I have looked on the Holiday board too but haven't found anything that stood out. I don't mind doing an individual costume or a couples costume. Any ideas?
Re: Halloween Costumes
We may go to a party this year so I'm thinking too. In the past DH & I have gone as Danny & Sandy from Grease, Rocky & Adrian, & Batman & Batgirl (along with a Joker & Penguin in our group.)
Plus, I usually have to dress up for work because we do a Halloween promotion every year but I try to do something very minimal for that one (like it passes for a costume but doesn't cause me to have to do too much or be too dressed up!) So if anyone has any suggestions for that I'd be grateful!
I finally got DH to say he'd dress up with me so we were going to be two of the characters from the South Park episodes with "*** and Friends. BUT now it looks like we're trying to go on vacation that weekend so I don't think it's going to happen. Dressing up with friends is one thing, strangers... eh... we're just not that into it. If you like South Park, that's an easy idea.
jamlsull - I love the Rocky and Adrian idea. We may have to steal that one of these years.

Haha! That would be great.
I just noticed that the nest wouldn't let me write Racoon without the Ra. It's not a slur... it's a racoon! Sheesh... the one thing in South Park that's actually not offensive!

This was our favorite costume of all we've done!
I made myself a costume of Calamity Sam (the dude on the operating table in the game, Operation) one year and I've recycled it for various events over the years. It was really easy to make- just a sweatsuit, felt cutouts for the bones with velcro sewn on to each piece, a magic marker to outline the shapes, a clown nose, and a tongs wrapped with red ribbon. One year I carried a taboo game buzzer in my pocket for when people wanted to play with the pieces.
I've also been a "deviled egg". White shirt, yellow felt "yolk" pinned on it, and a devil wig.
I've seen a Starving Artist costume put together that I thought was cute, just needed a smock style jacket, a beret, and one of those painter pallets with a sign on it saying something like "will paint for food".
Oh, you have to at least ask!
