Another kitty?

I haven't talked about this to Zach yet, as I'm not sure how I feel about it, but we've talked before about getting Lola a friend since whenever we're at work, she's here by herself. I was looking at the site - through facebook - that we adopted Lola through, and found Duke (if the link doesn't work, it's the North Central Indiana Spay & Neuter). He needs his hind leg amputated due to a severe injury, but the shelter is planning on taking care of that through donations. I've already contacted them to donate for the surgery, but part of me wants to bring him home, too. He's got similar coloring to Lola, and says he's good with other animals. I plan on talking with Zach when he gets home to get his take on it, but I can't decide myself.

What do you think? What would you do?

Re: Another kitty?

  • I think lola needs a friend to keep her company during the day. I would say go for it. And he sounds like he could use a good home with lots of love! you would be saving him! I'm all for it!

  • We just got another cat (a kitten) and after a day or two of hissing, the two of them are getting along fabulously.  My experience says two are better than one because they keep each other company.

  • So what did you decide? It sounds like you want to adopt him.
