This week's questions:
1.) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or changes in symptoms you'd like to share? Any appointments coming up this week?
2.) How do you envision your L&D going? (Obviously we all just want healthy baby, healthy mama... but what are your hopes? medicated, not, at home, at a hospital, who will be in the room, etc.)
3.) A "fun" question: Someone tells you your baby is coming TODAY (and you are full term in this hypothetical question, so no worries). You have an hour to go to the store and buy 3 things. What do you buy?
4.) Anything else to share?
Don't forget to take a bump picture sometime this week for the BWB/BWLO PIP post on Friday! ![]()
Re: Babes With Bumps
My boring blog
1.) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or changes in symptoms you'd like to share? Any appointments coming up this week? Pregnancy-wise, I'm feeling amazing & am so grateful for it! Feeling lots of movement lately which I'm loving. Had an appointment yesterday & everything's moving along smoothly & measuring right on track. I woke up yesterday with the start of a cold though, so I'm hoping I can fight it off.... I spent almost the entire 2nd trimester sick with colds/sinus infections/bronchitis when I was pregnant with Mads & I'm terrified of it happening again, it was miserable!!
2.) How do you envision your L&D going? (Obviously we all just want healthy baby, healthy mama... but what are your hopes? medicated, not, at home, at a hospital, who will be in the room, etc.) I'm envisioning it going very similarly to last time..... in the hospital, with only DH there for the actual delivery (my sister & mom were there throughout my laboring & they're welcome again this time). Possibly considering going med-free this time, but am not opposed to another epidural at the moment. We'll see.....
3.) A "fun" question: Someone tells you your baby is coming TODAY (and you are full term in this hypothetical question, so no worries). You have an hour to go to the store and buy 3 things. What do you buy? Like Fraux said, we're pretty much all set as far as absolute needs go, because of Mads. But assuming we had nothing, but still know what we know from Mads, I would run out for a crib or pack n play, burp cloths, and those soothie gel pads for nursing (they were a lifesaver!!) I'm assuming I can still steal all of those diapers & wipes from the hospital right....?
4.) Anything else to share?
1.) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or changes in symptoms you'd like to share? Any appointments coming up this week?
Heartburn is in full force now. I haven't been able to go a whole night without getting up to sleep on the couch so I can sit up. Third tri, just around the corner, yay!
2.) How do you envision your L&D going? (Obviously we all just want healthy baby, healthy mama... but what are your hopes? medicated, not, at home, at a hospital, who will be in the room, etc.)
I'm really hoping to go natural this time. I'm doing a lot of research and reading to help prepare. My plan is to have my mother or MIL take Alex away as soon as labor gets strong enough so I can stay at home as long as possible without worry of freaking Alex out. Once we get to the hospital, only H will be in the room, but my mother would like to be in the waiting room. After last time, I'll have a notation that she can be kept updated with any complications, unlike last time. MIL will have Alex and I have asked her to wait to bring Alex to the hospital at all until I'm ready to see her. I'm still afraid of the same complications as last time and I don't want Alex around to see me if it goes the same.
3.) A "fun" question: Someone tells you your baby is coming TODAY (and you are full term in this hypothetical question, so no worries). You have an hour to go to the store and buy 3 things. What do you buy?
Nipples for the bottles, formula if I don't decide to BF, and small diapers. Thankfully we don't have to buy much this time around anyway. Still need a toddler bed for Alex and a mattress, but baby will be in our room for a few weeks anyway.
4.) Anything else to share?
I love baby hiccups
1.) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or changes in symptoms you'd like to share? Any appointments coming up this week? I still feel great. I'm kind of waiting for the other shoe to drop. I've felt pretty good all along with the exception of a rare bout of nausea here and there. FX the rest of the pregnancy goes as smoothly! No more appts until next Thursday and then it's just a regular OB one. I have a few day break, haha.
2.) How do you envision your L&D going? (Obviously we all just want healthy baby, healthy mama... but what are your hopes? medicated, not, at home, at a hospital, who will be in the room, etc.) I'm really struggling with this even though I know it's out of my hands. I am terrified of a c/s, as you may remember from Nolan. His L&D was picture perfect but I'm well aware that twins are much more complicated. I'm praying that they'll be head down and I can at least try for a vaginal delivery, but trying to mentally prepare myself for a c/s as well. It's looking like just DH in the room again, with the addition of my photographer friend.
3.) A "fun" question: Someone tells you your baby is coming TODAY (and you are full term in this hypothetical question, so no worries). You have an hour to go to the store and buy 3 things. What do you buy? Matching outfits because c'mon, you have to have at least one. Bottles because we have about 6. And another rock & play.
4.) Anything else to share? Just that we had a great u/s yesterday! The babes are weighing in at 6 oz each (2.5 oz more than average at this week) and everything is looking great! EEEEE!!!
Our crazy, wonderful life
1.) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or changes in symptoms you'd like to share? Any appointments coming up this week? Feeling good, no new symptoms, I have a regular appt on Thursday.
2.) How do you envision your L&D going? (Obviously we all just want healthy baby, healthy mama... but what are your hopes? medicated, not, at home, at a hospital, who will be in the room, etc.) I am hoping this one goes just like the first one - fast, easy, and med-free. My H and mom were in the room for the whole thing, and it was great. Jack was 7 hours from first contraction to him being born, so if what the dr says is true, and this one comes faster, (and there are no complications) then I can definitely handle med-free again. But, if I do need an epidural, I have NO problem getting one.
3.) A "fun" question: Someone tells you your baby is coming TODAY (and you are full term in this hypothetical question, so no worries). You have an hour to go to the store and buy 3 things. What do you buy? Itty bitty diapers, new pacifiers, new bottle nipples. Those are pretty much the only things we need for this baby. Oh, and I need a new Boppy pillow. I used it almost everytime I nursed Jack, for an entire year, so now it's sort of flat
4.) Anything else to share? Jack's new room got painted over the weekend, so this week/weekend we will move all "his" stuff in there, and I can start putting stuff in the nursery for the new baby. Yay for getting things done!
1.) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or changes in symptoms you'd like to share? Any appointments coming up this week?
Feeling great! Hit 24 weeks, so it's nice knowing she has a chance outside if god forbid something went wrong. Have a regular appt coming up on Monday. Feeling lots of kicks, which I love.
2.) How do you envision your L&D going? (Obviously we all just want healthy baby, healthy mama... but what are your hopes? medicated, not, at home, at a hospital, who will be in the room, etc.)
It will be just my H while I'm in labor. My IL's will come to the hospital after she's here and my parents will likely drive out the day she's born or the day after.
In a hospital, drugs are welcome
3.) A "fun" question: Someone tells you your baby is coming TODAY (and you are full term in this hypothetical question, so no worries). You have an hour to go to the store and buy 3 things. What do you buy?
Well, considering we have absolutely nothing, I'll say some diapers, a package of onsies, and the rock n' play sleeper.
4.) Anything else to share?
Good thing we are driving.
We finally finished up our registry, so overwhelming! And someone already bought our carseat! Woo-hoo!! We're going down to DC next weekend to visit some of T's family and I think they are having a little shower for us

1.) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or changes in symptoms you'd like to share? Any appointments coming up this week? i'm feeling pretty good. getting some of my energy back. i'm almost to the halfway point. next appointment is friday the 30th, just a routine OB appt.
2.) How do you envision your L&D going? (Obviously we all just want healthy baby, healthy mama... but what are your hopes? medicated, not, at home, at a hospital, who will be in the room, etc.) i'm hoping my labor goes smoothly like it did with Evan. Will try to wait it out at home as long as possible. With Evan I was working when labor started, so that helped to distract me and by the time i got to the hospital I was already 4 cm. Only thing I am hoping is pushing is not quite as long, I pushed for 2+ hours with Evan. I will most likely get an epidural, but i would like to labor as long as possible without one. DH will be the only one in the room.
3.) A "fun" question: Someone tells you your baby is coming TODAY (and you are full term in this hypothetical question, so no worries). You have an hour to go to the store and buy 3 things. What do you buy? oh geeze...I would buy a take home outfit, moby wrap, and diapers
4.) Anything else to share? October 13 is our A/S, can't wait. hoping this little one is cooperative.
Can't go wrong with nice normal names like that
I really like Ryan, one of my favorite names. Personally I don't like Thomas/Tom that much, that's just me though. But it's not like you are naming him Xanadu or something

Can't go wrong with classic names. I like them both
I like them both. We were actually going to name this baby Ryan, but changed our minds because we found something we liked better. And I really love Thomas, but my step father and step brother are both named Thomas, so we don't need any more Thomas's in the family
1.) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or changes in symptoms you'd like to share? Any appointments coming up this week?
Not sleeping well at all usually, once in a while I'll get a decent nights sleep. Having more difficulty walking longer distances. Having lots of pain in my groin area. I think those are the biggest things right now. I have a fetal weight ultrasound on Thursday, followed by an OB appointment (I'll be meeting a new MD in the group that could potentially deliver me).
2.) How do you envision your L&D going? (Obviously we all just want healthy baby, healthy mama... but what are your hopes? medicated, not, at home, at a hospital, who will be in the room, etc.)
The ideal plan is that I'll go into labor naturally and it will be DH and I in the room at the hospital, and my Mom in the waiting room. We are planning on calling others once she is born and we are ready for visitors. I will most likely have an epidural. I want a vaginal birth, and by no means do I want a c-section, but if I have to get one, then I'll live with it.
However, if I keep measuring ahead by at least 3 weeks with a big baby, I know my MD is going to want to talk about inducing. My fear with that is it ending in a c-section.
3.) A "fun" question: Someone tells you your baby is coming TODAY (and you are full term in this hypothetical question, so no worries). You have an hour to go to the store and buy 3 things. What do you buy?
Yikes... I'll go with: a carseat, bassinet, and diapers/wipes for when we get home. We don't have those things now, but if I was 40 weeks I would.
4.) Anything else to share?
My shower is this weekend and I'm very excited! Along with that comes my best friend flying in from TX for it, and my sister coming in town with my niece and nephew!
1.) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or changes in symptoms you'd like to share? Any appointments coming up this week?
I'm feeling really good, other than feeling really big. I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going! Had an appointment last week and the c/s date has been set for 12/22, baby girl will be born on the winter solstice! I have the paperwork to go in for the Glucose test whenever I want around 28 weeks.
2.) How do you envision your L&D going? (Obviously we all just want healthy baby, healthy mama... but what are your hopes? medicated, not, at home, at a hospital, who will be in the room, etc.)
Since the c/s is set for 39 weeks (which I've previously mentioned that I'm opposed to the c/s) I am envisioning going into labor on my own during the 38th week. I would labor at home for as long as possible and at the last minute, I'd go to the the hospital which is only about 3 minutes away. By then I'd be ready to push and it'd be too late for a c/s. So it would be a natural vaginal delivery done mostly at home.
3.) A "fun" question: Someone tells you your baby is coming TODAY (and you are full term in this hypothetical question, so no worries). You have an hour to go to the store and buy 3 things. What do you buy?
Groceries! We just got back from vacation and have very little food in our kitchen. A breast pump, since I returned the one I bought last pregnancy. A girly newborn sleeper. We have plenty of clothes but they are all either gender neutral or boyish.Anything else to share? I had a really weird dream last night that my left breast was already producing milk so I was pumping and building up my freezer stash.

1.) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or changes in symptoms you'd like to share? Any appointments coming up this week? No changes in symptoms or anything exciting going on. I had an appt. with the NP this morning. Just the standard medical history etc. I had blood work done, 8 vials of blood!!! Luckily they didn't have too much trouble getting the blood, but my appt was at 8, so I hadn't had much to drink yet.
2.) How do you envision your L&D going? (Obviously we all just want healthy baby, healthy mama... but what are your hopes? medicated, not, at home, at a hospital, who will be in the room, etc.) The plan is to deliver at a hospital in town. It is known as the place to have babies. I am hoping for a regular vaginal delivery, but if I have to have a c-s then I am okay with that. I have no objections to medications or an epidural. I don't think that will change, but who knows.
3.) A "fun" question: Someone tells you your baby is coming TODAY (and you are full term in this hypothetical question, so no worries). You have an hour to go to the store and buy 3 things. What do you buy? We have bought nothing, so we would be in some serious trouble!! I would have to get a car seat, take home outfit (poor thing can't be naked) and a crib of some sort. I'd just hope the hospital sends us out the door with diapers. lol.
4.) Anything else to share? I am nervous to hear the results of my blood work. I am not concerned about the progesterone, even the nurse told me it would be crazy high because of the amount of supplement I am on. I am nervous to hear what the hcg is at. I just want to hear a crazy high number so that I can relax just slightly.
1.) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or changes in symptoms you'd like to share? Any appointments coming up this week?
More movement this week, which is always nice. I still have an awful cold, and my awesome OB's office called in a zpack since it's definitely a sinus infection by now. I have a regular appt on Friday.
2.) How do you envision your L&D going? (Obviously we all just want healthy baby, healthy mama... but what are your hopes? medicated, not, at home, at a hospital, who will be in the room, etc.)
Ideally I want a non-medicated birth with just DH in the room. If labor lasts a long time, I may call MIL/SIL for support, and talk with my mom on the phone. Our plan is to not really let family know until after LO is here. That's the precedent set by my family, and we didn't like the pressure we felt to sit in the waiting room all day long for my SIL delivery. If I end up with an epidural I'll be okay (DH thinks it's inevitable), and a C/S would make me upset truthfully, but there wouldn't be much I can do about it. The plan is to stay at home and labor as long as possible so I'm not strapped into a bed right away.
3.) A "fun" question: Someone tells you your baby is coming TODAY (and you are full term in this hypothetical question, so no worries). You have an hour to go to the store and buy 3 things. What do you buy?
Lol, like CMC we have nothing (we do have the car seat though!) so diapers, the rock 'n play sleeper and a pack of onesies
Anything else to share? DH comes home on Thursday from 2 weeks being OOT; he asked me yesterday if I'd gone to the gym while he was gone and I said "I was busy, and then I've been sick for the last week...no" - then I lied and said I had been walking the dogs. I told him about the movement I've been feeling, so his next comment was "When I come home, are you going to look pregnant or fat?" I told him that if he said anything other than pregnant be prepared to get slapped
1.) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or changes in symptoms you'd like to share? Any appointments coming up this week?
I have an appointment on Thursday. It isn't going to be anything exciting, just a normal checkup. I am feeling ok. I am starting to get a little uncomfortable at times. I just told Sam last night that I don't know how my belly can get bigger for 2 more months! I've also started sleeping on the couch more, not for heartburn or anything, but just because I can get more comfortable there.
2.) How do you envision your L&D going? (Obviously we all just want healthy baby, healthy mama... but what are your hopes? medicated, not, at home, at a hospital, who will be in the room, etc.)
Well this time I will be having a repeat c-section. So I guess I'll check in, get the epidural, and then head back to surgery. Pretty straight forward with few options!
3.) A "fun" question: Someone tells you your baby is coming TODAY (and you are full term in this hypothetical question, so no worries). You have an hour to go to the store and buy 3 things. What do you buy?
We have pretty much everything. I guess I would go with a few new bottle nipples, pacis, and burp cloths.
4.) Anything else to share?
This weekend we got the crib put up! We're having the kids share a room, so now I just have to figure out how I want the furniture arranged. I also picked up some baskets to help get things more organized. Hopefully I will be able to work on that this afternoon.
1.) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or changes in symptoms you'd like to share? Any appointments coming up this week? Feeling okay. Got a cold last week and it really knocked me down. I am really anxious to start feeling good. Still taking Zofran daily-threw up twice last week, so better, but not good yet. I'm afraid I'm going to be one of those who is sick until week 20.
2.) How do you envision your L&D going? (Obviously we all just want healthy baby, healthy mama... but what are your hopes? medicated, not, at home, at a hospital, who will be in the room, etc.) I expect my in laws will be in the waiting room... only DH in the room with me. I would like my parents to get here ASAP but who knows if that will be possible. I'm totally open at this point... would prefer vaginal, and am open to going unmedicated, but I have had an epidural before with no trouble, so no worries about getting one if I decide to.
3.) A "fun" question: Someone tells you your baby is coming TODAY (and you are full term in this hypothetical question, so no worries). You have an hour to go to the store and buy 3 things. What do you buy? HA. Um, a carseat and some onesies... and diapers.
4.) Anything else to share?
