Hey ladies!
Our vacation was great! We left on Sat the 10th (later than we wanted to but the house was nice and spotless when we left) Well that night we headed up to the cottage and had dinner with the ILs and then all went to bed. Sunday we chilled around the cottage and the ILs watched Brynnie while J and I went to a winery (bought 12 bottles for less than $80!) and went to dinner to finally have some time to ourselves for our anniversary. The ILs left that night and our real vacation started.
Monday and Tuesday we did nothing but hang around the cottage. We took a nice long boat ride (Brynns first she loved it, ran all over the pontoon) and just spent time relaxing which we really really needed. Wednesday we decided to head to Silver Springs Sand Dunes and Traverse City. Brynn wasn't too sure about the sand when we let her run around but she got used to it. We went to the lighthouse there and had a really nice drive. The next day we took our time getting going for the day and went to The Omlette Shop that Sarah B recommended and holy cow it was delish!
We then headed up to Mackinaw Island. Brynn loved the ferry ride over (while I on the otherhand was feeling like I was going to die - I really hate being car sick and in rough water I don't get any better.) We went out for a nice dinner and then headed back to the room. (I gotta say vacations with a baby who goes to bed by 9 aren't filled with a ton of night life) The next day we walked around and then took a bike ride around the island (brynn's first and our first bike rides in years!) B slept through the whole thing but J and I loved it. It is gorgeous!!!! Thank you Amanda for the rec.
After the bike ride we headed back and started driving back to Traverse City. J wasn't feeling too good so we stopped for the night (at 9 ish) in Charlevoix and then the next morning we got up and headed to Sleeping Bear Dunes. GORGEOUS!!!!! We did the scenic drive there (Dont tell but since you can't go more than 20mph we had Brynn in my lap haha She LOVED IT) We spent lots of time there and had dinner in Glen Arbor. That night we headed back to the cottage. Sunday morning we got up played around at the cottage and then headed into South Haven. We had a picnic on the beach and then walked out to the lighthouse. (OH and I of course went to my favorite chocolate shop!)
From there we headed home.

It was a nice relaxing trip but I really could have used another week. haha.
