neck/back issues?
i hjave been having bad neck pain for months...it is currently making my shoulder and arm numb and burning...fun, especially w/ 2 little ones. I finally went to the dr and had an MRI done to find i have a protruding disc in my neck 
i have an appt with an orthopedic next week. was wondering if anyone could shed soem light if you have had this or soemone close to you has...the internet is freaking me out and i am trying to avoid it...thanks

I have something similar, but in my lower back. Disc issue caused numbness and muscle issues in my leg. I could barely walk and my calf muscle was in a constant charlie horse.
I would suggest checking out a chiropractor as well. Especially if the orthopedist starts talking about anything drastic. I went to a fantastic chiropractor and I have no pain/numbness/muscle tightness anymore. It can't hurt to check one out.
I can give you the name of mine, he's the Sixers chiropractor, but it would require a trip over the bridge to Pennsauken.
