Hello Nesties!
I just got married in June & moved from Oklahoma to Dalton, Ohio shortly thereafter. It's been a bit difficult to adjust to all of the changes & not having a local friend has made it even more difficult! I'm hoping that this board might help me to feel a bit more connected to my new home of Ohio & may be a way to connect with some new local friends.
Re: New to Ohio
Im not a newly wed yet, but soon. As for being new to Ohio from a warm state, I suggest to buy winter clothes for when ol' man winter gets here. The wind chill can be the worse than the temp (although you're near Canton and Im near Cleveland which can make a BIG difference). But dont let that get to you. Ohio has AmAZInG parks to check out, museums, theaters, and such. You could get on the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad (CVSR) and ride through Cuyahoga Valley National Park to see all the awesome-ness we have. I was in TX for a short period of time and had camped in OK... just remember - open mind & bundled body for ol' man winter.

Hi there! I'm somewhat familiar with the shopping strip in Massillon (the one with Walmart) but have yet to check out downtown or anything else. Is there much to do (coffee shops, movie theaters, shopping etc.) in Massillon besides the Walmart strip?
My husband is from Wayne county & had a need to move back home so here we are! It's been a bit of a challenge trying to get acclimated to small-town life after living in a big city for so long, but I'm working on it!
