You've written how you and Derek have been helping everyone else building walls and other things. How is your house coming along.

It's coming! We've sort of got a fixed deadline now. Ha.
We started cutting out the material for the kitchen cabinets last weekend. Derek's table saw can only accomodate pieces up to 27" wide, so we're going to have to figure something out for the bigger ones. We may be running to a friends place, or he may use a circular saw.
We got the e-mail yesterday that our doors are ready, which is pretty exciting. Now to arrange delivery. This kitchen is going to be a LOT of work, but I think it will be worth it! It helps having a very nice, detailed plan to work off of.
I think the goal before the baby come will be to finish most main floor things. We want to tackle the second story, but we'll see how much time we have.
Also, I so very much need to update that blog thing. We've done a whole bunch of things since I last did!

Cool! It sounds like you've made lots of progress. What color and finish did you decide for the doors.
The colour is "choco cherry". It's a slightly reddish brown. Not too dark, but not too like. Medium dark?
We ended up going with a basic shaker style. Even though we went with thermofoil doors, we were able to pick a design that looks/mimics 5 pieces construction with corners that look mitred. At least, that's what they're supposed to look like!
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
