Decorating ?

We are moving M into a big girl bed around Christmas. So I have already started planning everything. One thing I can't decide on is installing a ceiling fan vs. keeping the flush mount that is in there now. I was also thinking adding a chandelier.

Here is her bedding: Except she is going to have a solid pink quilt instead on the one in the picture.

We are painting the walls gray. I was thinking either a white fan, but I found this one on Amazon this morning and thought it was really cute.

The blades are reversible to solid pink instead of the flowers.

I just didn't think it would "flow" very good with all of the other appliances in the house. This what is currently in the room.

Help! I can't decide!

I think a chandelier would be very cute with the wall color and bedding you have chosen. Something small and simple. BUT if you feel like she needs a fan I would stick with basic white.

I agree. I love the look of chandaliers in little girl rooms! I vote that.

We have a pink chandy in SD's room and she loves it. Seriously, I catch her staring at it all of the time. I am a nearly brand new chandy at my house that I would be willing to sell you. It is only three lights though and that may not be enough for a bedroom.

The bedding is very girly so I think a chandelier would go great in her room!

Ok so next question- Pink or white chandelier? I really like this one! Of course the white is out of stock right now.

I love using ceiling fans. You can get ceiling fans that have chandelier-type lighting under them. Maybe not as pretty as a regular chandelier, but it's more useful.

You're going to have enough pink girly things in the room, I think a pink ceiling fan would be overdoing it. Plus it'd be more difficult to deal with than a basic white fan blade when M gets older and wants an older-looking room.

Since there's already so much pink, I would go with the white chandelier.  I like the one you PIP'd!

I LOVE the idea of a chandelier in a little girl's room!

I LOVE the white chandalier you posted. Gorgeous. Have you checked ebay? I remember a few years ago a co-worker buying one from there.

Ditto the white chandelier. If she gets there where she doesn't want to have pink in her room you could still use it in there.
