I have been having migraines for the past 3 months and they are just getting more intense and more frequent. I have also been having numbing and pain in my arms and legs. Well I went to the ARNP and she scheduled me for a CT. We got those results back and I have a small cyst, but it's not supposed to cause any symptoms and she wants another CT in 6 months. So now we are back to square one and I have another appt monday. I hope they can figure something out bc I am sick of feeling like crap and I hate not being able to be active and play with DS!

Are your hands/feet cold a lot too? You might want to check in to circulation problems as well.
I hope they figure out what it is soon and that you start feeling better.
Are you taking any medications?
I had something similar happen when I was younger and after many many doctors, they finally figured out that I was seriously allergic to a medication I was taking...
We have gone through my diet and exercise and figured out it wasn't anything there.
I do get cold feet and hands, but not all the time like I used to.
The only meds I am on are Ortho Miconor and Maxalt....

I'm kind of hoping that there is something they aren't telling me about the cyst. At least if they could remove it then maybe they would go away...
I think my mom said she started getting them in her 20's. By hormones, I just mean that during certain times of the month they seemed to occur more - so not that she had anything imbalanced, just that the normal hormone changes throughout the month affected it. Certain things like strong perfume and cigarette smoke (which luckily we don't have to deal with much anymore! finding a place to eat on family road trips used to be a challenge in and of itself) were also a problem.
It would be great if the cyst was the problem, but I also hate to say that I wouldn't rule out that this is going to continue
It might be good to start figuring out what migraine medications work for you (everyone responds differently so it might take a few tries) and figure out how to treat them. I really hope they can stop it though!

We've been trying different meds. My first doctor prescribed something and my insurance would only give me a 10 day dose. So within 12 d ays I had used them and they weren't helping, but he said it could take a month to finally kick in. Then he prescribed vicadin for them. That didn't help either. and when I went to my primary she was like WTH would he do that for? And now I am on the Maxalt, but it only works for 30 or so minutes. I think they are really confused too. At my first appt she typed everything out in the system and then walked out of the room like she was doing research and came back and did all these things like had me stick out my tongue and push against her arms. It was weird. I really hope it stops soon too.
interesting. My mom never went on daily medication, just the kind you take right when you think one is going to start and she could only get a couple pills/month (she also was very concerned about getting addicted and made sure to talk to her Dr a lot about it). But I knew she tried several before she found one that worked for her. Good luck!
