What happened with the day care?
Re: christina
Apparently the post I made from my phone earlier this morning didn't post...so I'll summarize what I wrote again. Basically it sounds like they just gave the aid a slap on the wrist and she'll be working in the room. Their "solution" was to ensure that no aid feels overwhelmed and alone by having the other aid who was in there with her already be there with her every morning (which is pretty much what they already were doing and the other aid was in there at the time the incident occurred) SO basically they're not changing anything at all. I told them I was very uncomfortable with this aid and the fact that she directed frustration at my son while holding him and the director said that the other aid hadn't written that down in her report so she "didn't know about that." As in, it couldn't be proven since I wasn't there, despite my coworker having told them that and she was there.
So Alex didn't go to daycare yesterday because he has a bad runny nose, but I didn't tell them that, I kind of lead to believe that it might have something to do with the whole situation and I also let them know that we would like to switch to only having him there Mondays and Tuesdays because I was able to get my work schedule changed so I'll be working three twelve hour days. She said that she would need to check into thier staffing on those days and let me know...odd since he's there five days a week anyways so this should actually eliviate some of the pressure felt by the staff currently, but whatever. We're currently looking around again to see if anyone is available to watch him for just those two days and hopefully we'll find someone soon.
