TGIF Randoms

I took last night off from running to let my legs heal a little, they are a bit sore.

I watched so much TV.  Charlie Sheen Roast, The Office, a few episodes of Modern Family, and Community.

It was nice to catch up!

Re: TGIF Randoms

  • There was *nothing* on our DVR the other day when I just wanted to waste time watching fluff, so I recorded some upcoming episodes of Full House for later. Embarrassed
  • Full House?!  Where did you find that, GRKateres?

I'm happy that shows are back on.  I've enjoyed Modern Family and The Office this week.  And I think we have Parks and Rec on the DVR.

  • I missed Grey's Anatomy last night - I will just watch it online tonight.

    ABC Family daytime reruns. :D

We loved MF (as usual) and thought The Office was pretty good. I have Grey's on the DVR for tonight.

  • ***spoiler alert**** sorry

I was actually a little like "huh?" about the Office.  Wasn't terrible, wasn't great.  I was shocked to see Andy as the Manager...I wonder if they will actually continue that?  I think it is funny that Pam and Angela are pregnant in RL so they had to write that into the show.  Poor Jenna (Pam) looks like she is READY!  I missed Parks and Rec since I was putting Noah down.  I miss our cable for the DVR feature!  But like saving money! Smile

There seemed to be a lot of abrupt changes with no "previously on The Office..." to jog our memories. Andy is a little awkward, but hopefully he grows into the role. Then again, Michael Scott was THE most awkward ever, so I guess Andy's doing ok. ;)

I love Andrew Bernard.  Love him.

  • Does anybody know if Costco sells Amarula? I'd never had it before a friend pulled some out after dinner Tuesday; it was like drinking a Werther's butterscotch. Yum.
  • T had swim lessons again last night.  He looks SO happy in the water, I love watching him.  <3
  • Amachuta, you may want to edit your post to add "spoiler alert" note to the top.  I know we have some people who watch The Office from the recording at a later date.
  • How is everyone liking this fall weather? I love it!

I don't think Angela is pregnant in real life.

I love Andrew Bernard.  Love him.

Ah...I looked online and it said she was.  Maybe that was from a previous pregnancy.  I do love Andy...I was just surprised to see him in that role.  Love his character as a whole though!

  • Happy Friday & Happy First Day of Fall! I'm soooo happy that the last part of the tree that killed my cars on the first day of summer is finally gone! I was so sick of looking at that thing!

  • Amachuta - what are you going to do for the Big "1" birthday party?

Nothing too exciting.  Just having family over on the big day for dinner and cake.  I am going to attempt to make a monkey cake.  Eek!  We may have some friends over on that saturday for dinner, but not sure.  Once N gets older I will have to ramp up my party planning skills.

Cant wait to hear about it. Let us know how messy he gets! LOL

  • My lunch smells gross and that makes me sad.  I'm really hungry.

It is some sort of chicken broccoli noodle dish inspired by the mediterranean.  Hopefully it tastes better than it smells.

Not necessarily... we've done simple and low-key for all of C's (three) parties, and he's had a blast each time. This most recent one was the first one we had non-family friends attend, just three of his buddies (all siblings, lol) in addition to his cousins, and it was perfect.

  • I am so hungry.

    Blah.

My lunch was ok.  Not as bad as it smelled, for sure.

Are you following a program for your running?

    No.

Actually it's pretty pathetic so far.  I've only been running/walking for about 20-25 mins/workout, and only about 13-15 of those minutes I sort of try to push myself.  I've just been challenging myself to better my 1-mile time each time I workout.

Pathetic nothing; you're *doing* it. That rocks!

Did you look at the Couch to 5K program? It's a run/walk that has you building to 30 consecutive minutes of running.

Rest days are important! :) Be sure you're getting enough protein to help repair your muscles.

I have not looked into C25K because I just assumed it cost money, and I don't want to spend any money on this current endeavor.  :)
