Yay Friday! The weekend is almost here! Also, it's the first day of Autumn!
I've got a dr's appointment at noon today. Tonight I'm off to a PJ/cocktail party with my girlfriends from university. Clearly I'll only be taking part in the PJ part.
Tomorrow Derek's off to another side job and I don't have many plans. Mostly just working on the fall yard work.
Sunday, relaxing maybe? That'd be nice.

I'm looking forward to catching up on some tv tonight (hello Greys!), but otherwise no big plans. Brunch tomorrow with a girlfriend, and then dinner out at one of our favourite Italian restaurants with DH in the evening. Hopefully get to the gym a couple of times and make good on our new membership.
It's a beautiful fall day outside, and it's supposed to continue through the weekend, so maybe we'll head out to a park as well.

Hi Ladies!
Last night's benefits for the American Heart Association was great...it was in memory of a friend's father who passed away a few years ago, and the event was nicely done. We didn't really like most of the art that was being auctioned though.
Only a few hours at work this morning, then off to Chicago with H! Tonight we're doing dinner with a very dear friend and her boyfriend, and tomorrow I'm hanging out with my friend all day - shopping at the new TopShop and getting pedis - and then hopefully meeting up with NeptoonGrl tomorrow night for a drink! Be jealous! Sunday we are going to the Shedd Aquarium and I MUST go to Orange for brunch for frushi (fruit sushi, made with coconut rice...I crave this stuff between every trip to Chicago.)
Anyway, I hope everyone has a nice Friday and a nice weekend!
Morning. I took a sleeping pill last night (which I hate to do) but I couldn't have another no sleep night. Fortunately, it worked and I only woke up twice and was able to go right back to sleep. It's still going to be a long day, though. There was a crap ton of drama on the GP board yesterday and I GBCN from there for awhile. I'm not going to know how to spend my day without my friends there, but I really don't have the energy to deal with it right now. Maybe I'll actually get some work done instead.
The farmer's market did have apples yesterday, so I made the first of many crisps last night. It was delicious and I have a little bit leftover for lunch today.
This weekend is the National Book Festival, so I will be down on the Mall for a chunk of Saturday. I'm still working out the schedule, but I think most of the authors I want to see are right around lunch. It's supposed to be rainy, but it should still be fun.
The rest of the weekend is normal errands, plus special shopping for a couple of gift swaps and a trip to Home Depot for a snake for the bathtub drain. Fun, fun.

WOO HOO FRIDAY! I am pretty sure I say that every Friday but o well. Today should be a very busy day at work so the time should go by fast. This weekend DH is working nights so It will be just me and the boys. Tonight we are going to make some cupcakes for my friends birthday. I also have a kids picnic table someone passed down to preston and jordan that I would like to spray paint this afternoon. Since it is super nice weather I want to take advantage of it.
Tomorrow jordan has a soccer game and me and my BFF are going to do a little shopping at some thrift stores afterwards. We are both making our kids halloween costumes so we need some supplies. I am only making Jordan's since I found Preston a super cute one for a really cheap price. Tomorrow night my other friend is coming over with her little girl and we are going to have cupcakes to celebrate her birthday.
Sunday will be a relax day and a clean up day. Of course thats what I call it when I sit on the couch and do nothing but watch football and play with the kids.

Good morning. This weekend will be all National Book Festival. We'll be at the Mall to see Toni Morrison bright and early on Saturday and won't go home until Sunday night. We've booked a hotel room downtown for Saturday and I am so excited. We've set a schedule and we're trying to figure out when we'll be getting lunch--might have to go to a nearby museum for some quick eats. I'm all geeked about getting my books signed, especially by Jennifer Egan and Sarah Vowell. I'll also be seeing a coworker there and meeting her very cute niece. It'll be a fun but busy weekend.

Well, Christian now has Zach's cold so lastnight was not fun, and I have a feeling tonight will be the same. I am just waiting to get it myself, and pray it isn't this weekend.
I am supposed to go to a birthday party tomorrow and Sunday, but I am definitely cancelling for tomorrow, and Sunday I will have to see how the little guy is feeling. DH is working all weekend, so I get to deal with fussiness all by myself again. Oh well such is life.

Morning everyone. Today is going to be another long and busy day at the office. I just need to buckle down and get through it. Unfortunately, I plan to work almost the entire weekend. I was supposed to go shopping with my mom, but that will have to wait. Tonight, B and I are going to curl up on the couch with a bottle of wine and watch Grey's. Tomorrow evening I'm meeting up with JaneGold for drinks. Looking forward to it.

Good morning! I'm so happy that it's Friday. It's been a short week for me but this cold is about to make me crazy so I'm very excited to have a few days away from work.
Tonight I have a girls night out with some of my MBA classmates. We're going out for dinner and ice cream. Tomorrow we have the farmer's market in the morning. It's supposed to be cold and rainy. I'm not sure how much sitting outside in that weather for 6 hours will really help my cold. And when the weather is gross the market is usually dead which makes the morning go by very slowly, but it will mean that I should have some quality reading time.
The rest of the weekend I'm hoping to get some laundry done and get my house back in order. I need to catch up on the shows on my DVR. I'm also trying to convince Kyle to go to Lion King 3D with me.
I am getting a tattoo today. Then I am doing birthday celebration tonight. There is a street dance downtown, because of the football game tomorrow (the city does these because they cannot fit all the people in the bars). It will be a good time.
Tomorrow we are going to the football game (Wyoming v. Nebraska). Then going out after that.

Tonight DH and I are going to lay around and catch up on all this weeks shows. He was OOT, so I had to refrain from watching them.
Tomorrow is errands followed by dinner at a restaurant I've been wanting to try for 2 years and seeing Michael Ian Black.
Sunday will be the usual laundry/chores to get ready for the next week.

I have a tattoo with the constellation Lyra with my name in it, I was 18 and it isn't a very good tattoo, so I am getting a grove of Aspen trees to cover my name. I am going to have them through every season. I will post pictures later!
So happy it's finally Friday. I have lots of projects to finish up but I'm sure to get it done since my boss isn't here today. I'm also hoping to bring Olivia by at lunch since it should be a slow afternoon and everyone has been asking to see her again.
Tonight is DH's softball playoffs for the co-ed team. I'm really hoping to go by and cheer them on but it will depend on the weather. I'm sure we'll go out for food afterwards, win or lose. Tomorrow I'm going to meet up with a few nesties for a local GTG. Lunch and then shopping at BBB. So excited. Sunday will be football, cleaning around the house, and possibly visiting the IL's.

Tonight my mom is coming to stay the night and tomorrow is my long lost baby shower, since the bub decided to come so early. It's really more of an opportunity to have my whole family come meet Jackson. DH's family has mostly declined the invite, which is fine by me. they're kind of weird at big parties.
Sunday will be resting up and preparing to go back to work next week. I'm going to have to start planning ahead so my mornings aren't so hectic. Not sure yet how I feel about it all.
Today was unbelievable at work. So busy and the power went out 3 separate times and then we need to bring our whole system back up again. Also, some of the doctors are just being lazy and asking me to do things for them that are not my responsibility. Blah.
Working this weekend and hoping it's a bit more relaxed than the rest of the week.
