Baby Shower Games

Please post your favorite baby shower games! I'm in charge of games at BFF's shower, and need ideas.

At my shower we did 1) What's in the paper bag? and 2) Name the candy bar (that's melted into a diaper). I don't remember if there was a third game.

Re: Baby Shower Games

  • women only?  men too?  any kids?

    1.  drink juice out of a baby bottle race - I think deez did this for her shower

    2.  mold chewing gum into a baby - was fun with kids at my shower

    3. how many inches around is mommy-to-be and belly - can use yarn and everyone cuts their length and then takes turns measuring it up to mama

    4. purse scavenger hunt - i think i might have a list somewhere

    5. purse ABC's - similar in scavenger hunt but played in teams and each team needs to come up with one item for each letter of alphabet (don't forget Z = zipper!)

    HTH!

  • At my shower we played a game where people had to guess what traits I wanted the baby to have. For example did I want DS to have eyes like mine, dh, or both. There was a whole list like personality, hair color, eyes, height, sense of humor,  butt, etc. It was fun.
    AlternaTickers - Cool, free Web tickers AlternaTickers - Cool, free Web tickers
  • For my daughters shower we played guess the celebrity baby and the parent.

    So we put celebrity babies/children on index cards and passed them out.  You had to name the parent and the child's name.  It was fun!

  • How about the close pin/saftey pin game....everybody gets a closepin to put on themselves.  If you catch somebody crossing their legs, you get to take their pin away.  Whoever has the most wins.
  • the melted chocolate one is the funniest ever!

    Something similar is the baby food game where you unlabel baby food containers and people have to guess.

    Hanging clips on a line and with one hand they have to take one off one at a time and name a baby item.

    Cotton Ball Game- I hate this one. You get cotton balls and throw them on the floor and blind folded they have to scoop them in a bowl with a wooden spoon. I don't know the relation to a baby being born, but it is fun to watch.

    If there is guys I have seen them put beer in hte baby bottle and have a drinking contest.

    Depending on the people I have also seen put the condom on the banana with one hand.

  • This is one of the best games ever!  I played it at a shower and then did it at my cousins shower and have passed the borad to 3 other showers because it was such a hit.

    It is like the game memory or concentration....there are say 16 pairs of words and the goal is to match the words.  When you get a match, you get a prize.  All the prizes are candy bars...for example:

    Conception = SKOR

    Epidural = Life Savers

    Sex before baby = Good & Plenty

    and so on for 15 different words....everyone was able to play and come on, who doesn't love a little candy now and then.

    I hope this makes sense, it really was a blast to play.

  •  A good ice-breaker game was Name the Celeb mom/dad.  Each person had a name tag  put on their back, with a celeb mom or dad's name on it.  they had to ask others yes or no questions to figure out who they were.  That was tons of fun.

    Another game was called "multi-taking".  There was a clothes line, a basket of baby items, a cel phone, and a fake baby.  This was played two players at a time.  The players had to hold the baby in one hand, pretend to talk on the cel phone and hang the baby clothes on the line (using clothes pins).  Who ever got the most clothes on the line in the given time was the winner.
