I'm at the point in my pregnancy where I'm overthinking everything and can not just get something done. I've already talked to one woman, but I have 2 other places that I want to check out first before making a decision. They are all home daycares that were recommended by family/someone who sent their kids there.
Any suggestions about what to say during the first phone call to a daycare provider? What time of the day to call? Should I mention how I got their name?
I talk to people on the phone all day, every day, but when it comes to something directly related to me I become a complete idiot.
Re: Daycare Q?
haha! Sounds like me.
When I called looking for T's DCP, I just mentioned that I was expecting and looking for a provider for the middle to end of May, beginning of June. I asked if she had any openings. We talked about cost and what the cost included (ie, diapers/wipes, formula, food, etc). We talked about her experience, hours, who would watch the kids if she was sick and things like that.
I called and set up an interview... I called when it was convenient for me, most of the time I got a VM box and I got a call later that evening or during nap time at the DCP...
I only gave basic information during the phone call and got more into specifics during the interview... plus I wanted to see the place before I got too much into details....
