Does anyone here sell Avon?

I'm considering doing it, but I just want unbiased opinions, about the process and experiences with the company before I start.

How much approximately do you make in a month?

How much time do you devote to it?

Do you have any problems with the company?

Re: Does anyone here sell Avon?

  • I sold it for a brief amount of time. I found out very quick that my "supervisor" would be all over me about selling more...to the point of harassment. My time with the company was not pleasant.

  • I sold it for about 2 years a couple of years ago. I think that you get out of it what you put in. If you distribute books and follow up with people then you can do okay. But orders won't just fall into your lap. And it takes awhile to get going and building a customer base. Also, I found older women to be the best customers, they love it. How much you make is really up to you. I didn't have any problems. The lady above me never called me or anything.
  • Personally, I'd say leave it be. It's a multilevel marketing business, and the majority of people who go into any set up like that are lucky if they break even.

There are worse companies than Avon. If you want more information, let me know. There are tons of sites out there about mulitlevel marketing, direct sales, etc. and they show the facts and figures, not the "Play with makeup and make extra income!" knee jerk.

  • Let me first give you a little history on AVON. They are celebrating their 125th anniversary. Can you imagine? Not many companies can say that these days. AVON was started by a man in a time before women could even vote.

I have sold AVON since June. I used to sell it awhile back and didn't do so well. This time around it is very different. I am getting training from my District Manager and building my business instead of soley selling to customers. With the proper training on how to build your team, you will be successful. The time you put in will determine the success. It is your own business and although you can do it part time, you may only earn a part time income. The amount you earn depends on you and your efforts. All I can say is where else can you start your own business for only $10 or $20? I have had no issues with AVON. AVON also gives awesome bonuses. This certainly helps financially. You do need to invest a little money at the beginning for your brochures and samples. You can buy 100 brochures for about $20. Samples are 5-10 per pack ranging from $1-$5 depending on the samples. So the $10 or 20 to join and the cost of brochures and samples it so inexpensive. The campaigns run every two weeks and you will need to buy brochures every two weeks. If you want to talk more about the opportunity with AVON, feel free to contact me via email. keepingubeautiful@gmail.com
