My name is Jodie and I am a crafty-wanna-be...I LOVE the idea of doing crafts, particularly scrapbooking, and have just not 'taken the plunge' to actually get started. I have purchased a lot of scrapbooking supplies that sit in bags and bins upstairs in the spare room of our house - lol - my friend has said that I am a scrapbooking supply hoarder! The whole idea of getting started is a bit overwhelming to me, so I guess that's why I haven't officially gotten started. But, I am making a promise to myself that this fall/winter I am going to finally get into it and make it a priority! I am also interested in collaging (that started as part of a therapy class I took) and even crocheting (sp?).
I have really enjoyed reading the threads on this board for the last few months, so I thought that it's about time that I introduce myself and hopefully get involved in the discussions.
More about me...I teach high school social science - law, anthro/psyc/soci - special education and alternative classes for the guidance curriculum. DH and I have been together for just over 6 years, married in Aug '10 and have been TTC since the wedding (without success...boo!) I am wanting to finally start the crafting to also help get my mind off of the T-TTC and get active again. I love to read, I really enjoy yoga and hiking/walking. We have 2 big boys (with tails) and 2 pretty girls that purr and like to snuggle - all rescues.
Looking forward to getting to know you ladies! ![]()
Re: Introduction :)
Stand up for something you believe in.
Hi! I'm so sorry to hear about your T-TTC- I hope you're able to work through that soon. I'm not a scrapbooker- but, I do love paper crafts, crocheting, knitting and sewing.
Welcome to the board!
Hi and welcome!
I'm not a scrapper, but I do make cards as well as sew and general crafting. I *still* get that overwhelming sensation when I start a card off. There are just so many posibilities and combos of things, I have a hard time getting started.
