I am still your opposite- (trying to keep LO in so I can go into labor at home in Orange)
I've been banished to Rockland b/c of all the construction, but I may be able to go home tomo. DH and Dad don't want me driving anywhere b/c of the strong possibility that if I drive myself to, let's say- the library 3 miles away, I will not only go into labor, but the baby will pop out in the car. Crazy Italian/Irish men.... At least I've been able to refuse my Dad's boiled fig water cure-all so far. I guess I shouldn't complain, since he also believes doing the dishes/laundry will cause labor (and immediate birth).
At my 39 week appt I was about 70% effaced, head down and low, but no dilation.
I go back Wednesday. OB said we don't have to talk induction until 42 weeks unless there is a complication. So far my only problem is a low platelet count- if I'm sectioned, I may need general and DH won't be allowed in the room either. That's my biggest fear- bringing him into the world unconscious and w/o DH present.
I hope we both get our labor wishes, but most importantly healthy and happy LOs! I guess there is a decent chance our LOs can share a bday
