DH kept a surprise secret for 6 mo....
DH usually cannot wait. When he buys a great gift he cannot wait until the occasion so he gives it early. So I was very surprised he kept this one for 6 months.
I turn 50 today.
We planned a party for last night at our house. DH cooked fajitas and we invited about 50 people. What he didn't tell me was he hired a band. I love beach Jimmy Buffet type music.
There is a local band I really like and had wanted them for our wedding but they were booked already. He learned from that experience and booked them over 6 months ago for my party. (Granted it is easier to get a band for a Sunday evening party. I know he wanted something like this for his 50th party but it was only 4 weeks after the wedding so I was kind of busy and the band was not available then.) He cooked everything early so he was able to enjoy the party too. This was definitely my best birthday party ever!
