One of my coworkers is having a birthday on Wednesday. He is kinda a healthy person, and doesn't really do desserts much, but he loves dark chocolate. I have a banana bread recipe that he loves as well. I have some really ripe bananas so I was thinking of making banana bread and adding some dark chocolate chips to the batch.
Has anyone ever does this and it turn out well? I am a strict "by the recipe" kinda girl. The few times I have tweaked a recipe, it has never ended well. I don't even know how much to add. I am really nervous about doing it so if anyone has any feedback, good or bad, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Ditto. I've added chocolate chips to my favorite banana bread recipe with great success. Maybe 1/3 to 1/2 cup or so?
