Share 2 things. Good, bad, happy, sad, whatever you feel like sharing.
1. A realtor called our realtor saying her client would like to make an offer on our house. The bad news is that the buyer's own house hasn't sold you and she is going to make her home selling a contingency in the offer.
2. I have total baby fever right now. I don't know if it's because DS acts like such a big kid now, or the new babies on the board, or what... But every time I see a baby, I can literally feel my heart ache. There is something wrong with me.
Re: Two Things Tuesday
1. I don't really care that much about my birthday, but I am pretty bummed DH is traveling for work this week and is missing it. At least my parents are here.
2. I would rather electro-shock myself in the vag than have another baby right now lol
Boo to the buyer, LadyE! I hope something works out for you soon.
1) My husband has a job interview tomorrow. I really, really hope something comes of this, because he's about the lowest I've ever seen him. So please send good vibes.
2) I really, really want to buy a car. But without my husband having a new job lined up, it's stupid to add to our monthly bills. I hate having to return the rental car at the end of the weekend. I feel so stuck. MEH.
1. I've been "in between jobs", unemployed, or a housewife.....whatever way you want to put it, for 4 months now! I just can't believe it, I really thought I would find something within a month or so. I have had multiple people review my resume and they all said it looks great, but not a single call for an interview....except the temp agencies. I'm in total shock, but need to keep motivated.
2. AF started, which normally is bad....but, this time means we can start the initial testing for any fertility issues, so I'm excited for that. I definately have baby fever
Best of luck LadyE, and sending good thoughts to your DH 5000.
1. I finished all my thank you notes from my bridal shower, so there is a BIG smile on my face and a HUGE ache in my hand.
2. Just found out come the end of October I will be without a job. We were all informed the company was disbanding and to put our resumes out there, but this deadline just happened and I am not very happy/hopeful about it. Hoping my interview from last week works out in my favor.
I literally LOLed at this! And happy early birthday!
LadyE, keeping my fingers crossed that you get a contingency-free offer soon!
5000Candles, lots of luck to your DH with the job.
cwbykitty, good luck to you, too, with the job hunt. I have to say, four months unemployed is nothing in this market. I don't say that to be mean, just want you to be prepared and realistic. Hope you find something soon.
My two things:
1. I wish I could work from home all the time. I did it again yesterday and loved it.
2. There are so many things on my to do list and I have no motivation to do them, even though I know it'll make me feel better as I start checking things off. Blah.
1. I too have baby fever - I actually think DH has it worse then me! Our plan is to start TTC next spring/summer, though DH has already told me that he wouldn't be mad if I got pregnant now.
2. I've been having back pain for the last week and it's annoying the crap out of me. DH and my mom say I should go to the doctor, but I feel like I'd look so lame going to the dr. for what could very well be just plain muscle ol muscle aches.
Good luck Lady E with house, 500 candles with DH's job, cwbykitty with a job, and everyone TTC and wanting to TTC.
1. I am so frustrated with this whole move- the house, the job, the realtors, my family, everything. I would like to just stick my head in the sand and come up when it is over.
2. A large glass of wine or a margarita sounds like heaven right now.
I can second that! I told DH the other day I'm just going to stay unemployed and become an alcoholic....just kidding, of course. There is a great Mexican restaurant here in Grafton, so once you get up this way, we can have celeboratory Margarita's!
Yes.
1. This story about Brad Marchand from the Bruins is cracking me up:
2. I haven't gone grocery shopping in about a month. It's giving me a good chance to use up the stockpiles we have in our freezer and pantry, but I am getting sick of it. I need to come up with some dinner ideas and go to the store this week.
Yes! That is a definite.
Cwbykitty, I've always heard the rule of thumb is to expect one month of job searching for every year you've been working, but I don't know how true that is. I hope you find something soon!
And I would also like a large adult beverage right now. I swear time is going backwards right now.
Wow, you must have had quite a stockpile! I'm trying to get back into menu planning so that we don't overbuy produce and end up throwing a lot of it out. We do have a bunch of random canned goods sitting around but there's not a lot of incentive to eat through it since it keeps forever.
Oh my! I've been working since I was 14.....so 21 years of working. That's one rule I hope to break
Thanks for all the nice wishes & thoughts!
Yeah, it's not like we are extreme couponers, but we do watch prices on the foods we buy often and stock up when it gets down to its lowest price. As a result, we had a lot of dry pasta, frozen pasta, jarred pasta sauce, cereal, frozen chicken breast, canned goods (beans, tomatoes, misc vegetables), as well as some frozen chili that I made in June to save for a rainy day, a bunch of eggs that I bought in August for a wedding cake and were left over that don't expire until next week, bread that was on sale that we kept in the freezer, etc. Plus our garden has been producing tomatoes like crazy so we have been able to eat a lot of tomato salads and sandwiches with a few cucumbers and green peppers thrown in when we get lucky. It's been hard to get out of my lazy funk when we have so much food around anyway. I've just stopped once a week to grab some milk.
1) I am tired of visitors
2) I am so happy to be home with my baby. I had in my mind what this would feel like, and I was looking forward to it. It is even a million times better than I thought it would be, and I had high expectations.
That's just awesome! So happy for you!
I will post my birth story, and I will email you photos Rock.
